Just How Great is Brady?

He was amazing, but this year he's pretty pedestrian.

I think he'll get better as the season moves on. Hope so anyway. I think Moss is tired of being overthrown.

Kind of like Peyton last year at the same time, just coming off knee surgery and a year out of the game (no wait he didn't miss a season did he)?

As for Moss - just how many times has he been overthrown? As far as I can see he has a great relationship with TFB and will be more than patient as the rust continues to disappear. I am not expecting 07 fireworks anyway, that was then and the team is different and their bodies are not the same as they were.

If TFB does return to elite form though I am not expecting him to be NFL MVP - as according to King it's Peyton's to lose

So, the NFL MVP is like a Colts playoff game.

I think the single most impressive record he holds is TD/INT ratio.

His 201 TD to ony 88 INT is the best TD/INT ratio of all time. Those numbers are just INSANE

Yeah seriously, the pats d shuts down Eli, or Tyree doesn't make that catch, Brady is consensus #1 greatest QB ever period. Sucks things didn't work out that way

Amazing how people forget how great he was and is still. Guess we're not going to repost the "Should we trade Brady and keep Cassel" anymore.

I just like him for the QB sneak, then they should take him out.

Oh yeah, he's pretty good in OT too, 7-0 I think ? Put him in for OT.

"Brady is consensus #1 greatest QB ever period" - I doubt you would ever get a consensus of football fans to say Brady is the greatest of all time even if we had beaten the Giants in the SB. Joe Montana has some die hard fans and awesome SB stats. People can criticize the "D" that day but Tom and the offense waited until the most important game of the year to score their lowest point total of 14.

Yeah. They really shouldn't have done that to themselves!

what about two the two winning streaks:

03/04 - 21 straight including playoffs wins
06/07/08 - 21 straight regular season wins

most career completions before first INT

60-something games without back-to-back losses

highest winning % to 100 wins (including playoffs)

5 to 1 TD/INT ratio in 07 (this is more impressive than 50 TDs)

Actually, 6 to 1 TD/INT ratio....50/8. But I see your point.

Also, 201 TD to 88 INT career and 26/12 in the playoffs compared to Manning's 22/17.

If the OL showed up, we'd have the greatest single season in sports history.

And even as bad as our OL played that game, our defense makes at least one more play in that Giants last drive, we win.

EDIT: If Brady had thrown that bomb to Moss (who had beaten two defenders) 5 more yards deeper, Moss most likely would have caught that for a game winning TD and cementing Brady's GOAT status.

Do me a huge favor and tell Randy to be patient and if you would be so kind tell him I said, "hello"

woulda shoulda coulda...but, i think the most likely result in this regard would have been decades of arguments over whether the greatest QB ever was Otto Graham, Joe Montana or Tom Brady...there would have been cases to be made for each, but just to be in that three-way debate would have been honor enough...
