Heavy rain expected for Falcons game

How in the world is a Falcon fan talking about how hearty and hale Patriots' fans are?

You guys play in a dome, and the Falcons are forever in need of more fans to attend games.
Winning makes it easy to fill up a stadium. Unfortunately, the Falcons have never even had back to back winning seasons, while you guys have dominated.

All I was trying to say was that the weather must be pretty damn bad up there (for any die hard fans to be passing up the tix). Then someone pointed out to me it was a beautiful day on Saturday. I didnt realize that.

I wasnt really questioning the Pats ability to fill a stadium, or the ability for 99% of the fans to endure the elements.

Our fans, when they do come, enjoy the tailgates so much they have a hard time getting their butts to their seats by the end of the first quarter (if its a beautiful Atlanta day). Our fan base is what it is.

He's actually been one of the more classy non-Pats fans to post on this forum, in my view.
Thanks dude.

Although I have to admit, figuring the kind of opposing teams fans you probably typically have invade your site, I am taking this as the equivalent of getting a pat on the back for winning a medal at the Special Olympics. But a compliment is always nice. :)

Most Jets fans are dumb as bricks and the only Phish fan I remember was a bit of a DB.

That said, you get the odd guy (yourself, Gunnails - recent outburst excluded) from other fanbases who are up for decent discussion.

I just hope you don't turn sour based on whichever outcome there is tomorrow (likely the NFL equivalent of Duck Hunt on easy). :D

Nah. I plan to come on here and post a prediction (to the Falcons/Patriots thread, not to muddle up your board) tomorrow before the game, including predictions on a few players. I will probably be wrong about all of it, but I will go with my gut feeling.

Then after the game (or Monday) I will come on and give my thoughts and then rid the site of my constant posts. Even if you guys win 56-0, I cant see me being sour with this forum regardless. If the Falcons suck, I cant take it out on you guys more than I already have! If the Falcons do end up the victor, what can I really say? Its not like I will be sacking Brady or scoring touchdowns. All I will be doing is watching the game with my heart in hand. And I dont think any of you chowda heads will have much impact either.

I prefer to think of myself as a poutine-head (pronunciation is REALLY important there) but I know what you're saying. Still, it's fun to take football WAY too seriously.

I'm predicting a TD for both Edelman and Galloway and maybe a long Moss TD via a bubble screen ala last years Cards game.

I'm also expecting Faulk and Taylor to have big days in the ground game and Maroney to stir things up in the passing game.

Also, it feels like it's just about time for a Meriweather strip sack.

I think as long as Brady is getting the ball out quickly on pass plays (hopefully less than 35 today), Matt Light is going to be up for Abe today. We'll have to see, but I have a feeling he's well aware of his critics.

My non-predict-the-score-thread prediction is 34-17 Pats.

In predict-the-score I played it a little safer after last week.

Looking forward to the game!

How's the weather back there now?

How's the weather back there now?

Dry, but not for long: the rain is up to Providence and Attleboro as of 9:30 AM.

Stay dry, folks. Wear good socks.

Pound the ball with Maroney, Taylor, Morris and Faulk. That's what I want to see!

ARGHHH, these son of a *****es at fox 61 in Hartford have the gall to show NY games instead of the Patriots!?!?!

Weather looks fine today. In researching a little, I thought it funny they would name the place the Georgia Dome if we were concerned about field conditions and running the ball.

Sure enough, the dome is actually on top of the stadium, meaning field conditions will be remarkably like they are for every game.

*adds lightbulb*

EDIT. I'm an idiot, thought it was a road game.
