If I'm the Jets, I'm nervous

The Jets defense is legit, especially with Revis out there showing that he can contain the Andre Johnson / Randy Moss caliber WR. In my opinion, the Jets this year could be very similar to the Ravens were last year with their nasty defense and rookie QB.

Anyways, I'm with those whose sentiment is to just not worry about it right now, and hope that the Patriots can rebound nicely against a strong Falcons team at home. We'll see where this roller coaster season takes us next.

If I'm the Jets, I'm stoked about the win. What do they have to be nervous about? Nobody's scared of the Pats anymore.

The Pats season is going to go one of two ways. Either their offense snaps out of their slump, or they continue to underachieve. It's that simple.

I don't even care about the Jets until November.

I want to see what the jets have in november

they pretty much need to stay 100% injury-free in order to have any hope at all

the jets depth is wafer thin. thomas and washington touch the ball on 70% of the plays....as the weather cools, that will only go up and if either gets banged up, the entire offense will struggle....washington is the only non-starter that has caught a pass.....there's no depth on the OL

on defense, to put it simply, the jets bench looks worse than the pats

the jets need everything to go right if they expect any kind of successful season

We're proven with our core, the Jets aren't.

I don't think they can play every game like it's the super bowl.
A team can't put that kind of energy into every game of the season.
It's a long season and it's week 2.
Remember how strong we were in 2002? Hammered the Steelers in week one, demolished the Jets in week 2. Well, the Jets that were demolished in week 2 came back and won the division. It does not pay to peak too early in the NFL.

Thats what I was thinking with this years version of the Jets. They are all loudmouth hit hard make em pay we won the superbowl in week 2 type of team right now. Come November, I would rather have BB and Co as opposed to a rookie QB and a first time coach.

I think most Jets fans were bracing themselves for an 0-4 or 1-3 start to the season so i dont think any of the fans are fealing too nervous. Will Sanchez struggle at some point going forward? Of course, but I also think he gets more confidant and efficient in the offense. The Jets defense is still without its best blitzing LB in Calvin Pace, and will be until week 5. The next 3 oppnets are tough regardless of record with the Titans/NO/Miami coming up.
I think the division will come down to the Jets and Pats this year, but the AFC east is pretty solid top to bottom. No pushovers.

I'm not going to waste any more energy worrying or even thinking about the Jets until late in the evening on November 15th after the Colts game; their problems are their problems.

Now the only team I'm thinking and worrying about is Atlanta, who will be a handful this Sunday and who bring a far better QB to town than the two guys we barely beat and lost to so far. After that, I'm going to start worrying and thinking about a hungry, tough Ravens team with a big chip on their shoulder after losing to the Steelers last year.

Are you gonna play for New England on Sunday? You sound like a player. Fans are allowed to speculate, ya know.

The Jets aren't nervous as they should be after winning the week 2 superbowl. They have to play an very good 0-2 Tennesse team next week. IMO, Tenn is built to handle the Jets blitz where everything is short and all they need to do is get Chris Johnson in space (what I was hoping we could do with Welker). Lucky for them they are playing at home.

Too bad we shut Chris Johnson down last year.

I think you guys are the nervous ones. Honest.

why would we be nervous? its too late for that we already lost to the jets and the jets have been placed in their perch.

it can only go downhill for the jets now

you will see how quickly this past win becomes meaningless when the jets cough up a hairball against the titans

Meh, it would just be a week 3 loss, Jets would still be in front of the Pats.

I don't think they will cough up a hairball, against Tennessee. Why would they beat us?

Oh wait! We're the Jets so there must be a letdown! Silly me. I guess we'll be 2-1. Why should we show up Sunday?

They should be nervous because they are 2-0? Are you kidding me?

Some people on this board are pathetic. The Patriots should be nervous. They're no longer the powerhouse of the AFC East. (Or NFL, for that matter) Our D is pretty average and our offense needs to get going if we want to win some games.

QFT. Nice to see SOME logic in this thread.

I'm a Patriots fan and all but there's one thing I can't stand and that's homerism. I can admit to things (or see things) that a lot of people can't on this board because I'm not blinded by being a fanboy of the Patriots.

Pats should be alot more nervous than the Jets at this point.

The one concern I would have on the Jets side of things is burning out to fast in the beginning of the season and causing unnecessary injuries.

All it really came down to were 3 issues

1. Brady had an absolutely ****house day.
2. We dominated the first half and couldn't capitalize on our opportunities.
3. The Jets dominated the second half and capitalized on their opportunities.

This media bs about the Jets being the better team is codswallop. It should have been 17-3 at half time.

Pacino was right. It's a game of inches and we were feet away.

I'm more worried about being great teams in the playoffs, not a team that peaks early in week 2.
