Sanchez is a dork... and was sorry for Brady (merged)

Re: Mark Sanchez: I felt for Tom today.

Talk about making a mountain out of molehill.

Sanchez was empathizing because he's been baptized by fire playing this outstanding D since day 1. He knows how good they are is all. And he feels bad for Tommy for having to face them. It was a compliment to our defense and not a slight on Tom.

Carson Palmer couldn't come back from that injury but i think that Tom can but he won't without some help and right now he doesn't have any.

Re: Mark Sanchez: I felt for Tom today.

The kid is trying to be respectful. In a backhanded kind of way. But honestly, would you want to be the QB facing 25 + blitzes from those guys? The D is tuff, and he was trying to put that point across.

I think this is pretty accurate. To be honest it didn't come off to me as a problematic statement in any way. I think we're just a little raw about the loss and nothing more.

Look, this kid played a good game today and he's got loads of potential. But if he's going to be the new "it guy" in the AFC East (or the league) he's going to need to get those moles lasered off his face. I have to avert my eyes when I'm eating.

Re: Mark Sanchez: I felt for Tom today.

============================================

I'll let that slide.

Because today is a great day, ain't nothing going to get me down.:)

No, seriously...cannot tell. Is that drunken Namath in a Luke Skywalker outfit?

Re: Mark Sanchez: I felt for Tom today.

Us too! Can't get here soon enough.

Hmmmm...gee, I think I was right...seriously, been nice having you. Now, go enjoy your Super Bowl victory.

True. But Sanchez led them on a great drive in the 3rd that proved to be game winning. He managed the game perfectly.

HAHAHAHAHAHA He made 2 throws. man jets fans are dumb.

Those are beauty marks. :p

Seriously, this kid is legit. Only 16 starts at USC and he's 2-0 in the NFL against the Texans and Pats. Anyway you slice it, I'm an idiot. ;)

There's some sense.

Yes, I would. If I had Tom Brady's skills.

Have you ever checked Brady's record against teams that blitz that much? Have you ever checked Brady's completion % against the blitz?

Either Brady was off and not able to sync up the red hot reads with his WRs (as he usually does when he burns blitzes) or the Jets have the best blitz scheme in football over the past decade. Because Brady has never looked that bad. Maybe once when he was young against Pittsburgh back in 2001, but he was only a few games into his career. Oh yeah, and then again against the Phins late in 2006. That's how bad he looked. Seriously, if Brady gets on the same page in the next few games, and Rex brings the same gameplan to Foxboro, the Jets will get burned badly. And Sanchez, instead of feeling sorry for Brady, will be taking notes.

Re: Sanchez is a dork...

If he doesn't end up in a leper colony first.

Don't make me post the picture of Tommy Terrific and the goat. :D

Seriously, he showed great accuracy and touch on that Keller TD don't you think? Tom seemed a bit off today. Gonna take some time to come back. The Offensive Coordinator deserves the heat he's getting, offense was predictable and ran the same 6 plays all game.

What you don't get is that your defense is not better than many defenses that Brady has burned before (Pittsburgh 04, San Diego 06, Titans 03, Ravens 07 etc).

Did they hold the Pats to zero touchdowns?

All I have to say is...what an ass...did you watch ANY games he played at USC? Dear God, please just go away. The coaching staff has not asked him to do anything...he made two or three nice throws in which the receiver ran 25-30 yards. Let's see him win 10 games before you crown him the next Montana.

God, Jet fans are insufferable. You FINALLY beat the Patriots...at home...in week two...by a touchdown...when we were missing Mayo AND Welker. Congrats, really you guys are the best. The best. Greatest team ever. Mark Sanchez is the best quarterback to ever play the game. And, he is really sexy and does not act like he is 17 on the field. Wow, I wish we were not in your division. Oh, and you have that real winner that jumps around with the fire helmet on. Really, he does not look ******e at all. Looks like a normal guy. I wish we had a fan like that, he is so freaking cool.

There, now GO AWAY. PLEASE. I...BEG...YOU...go away.

Oh, and that is his wife who is carrying his child. Real classy, jerk. Show some respect...

Is this guy for real? :D

Yeah because the spirit of this entire thread is so respectful, it's a messageboard on the internet dude, relax

Here is a nice relaxing post...Get lost. Seriously. Get out. You only decided to come into this forum recently because you thought YOUR team was playing for the Super Bowl. Now, game over. Get lost, please. Really, 28 posts and just joined? Get.....out...

I didn't have any problem with what Sanchez said. WTF did you guys expect him to say? Seems to me like a lot of people just want to dislike the guy. Instead, just focus your irritation on the Jets who actually *are* idiots: Scott, Rhodes, Jenkins, etc.

After the game today was nothing short of hilarious.....these idiot fans really think they won the Super Bowl, but Brady was WAAAAAAY off today. You could really feel the absence of Welker.

Watching the Fireman guy literally begging for crowd noise was also hilarious.

Ah well, it's only week 2.....

The Brady that was out there today isn't the Brady that played those teams. Not to take anything from the Jets, who obviously have a very good defense, and might be up on that tier, but this isn't the 2007 Patriots, and it's not even close to the 2007 Brady.

That's absolutely true. Didn't look like himself today. Missed some easy ones. The Jets are a solid defense but other than Jenkins, Revis, Harris and I guess Scott they don't have any true studs. Solid all around with a good scheme was good enough today. They'll be top 10 this season with a chance at more.

I've been hearing for years that Ty Warren was actually better than Richard Seymour. I couldn't even tell you if Ty was out there today. I had always thought Wilfork was overrated but he made a lot of plays today. I know he can get gassed but he'll run 30 yards across the field to make plays. If it really was one or the other I would've kept Vince over Rich too.
