What are your Top 5 Patriots of all time?

Difficult to compile an all-time list, and really pointless because so many fans are too recent to appreciate one. But I'll make a pass at a Belichick era list, about which most everyone can comparatively opine:

(1) Brady
(2) Harrison
(3) Faulk
(4) Bruschi
(5) Brown

...but I suspect in 5 years my list will be:

(1) Brady
(2) Harrison
(3) Moss
(4) Mayo
(5) Welker

1. Terry Glenn
2. Chad Jackson
3. Bethel Johnson
4. Michael Bishop
5. Chris Canty

:D

Common man! You can do better than that.

1. Hart Lee Dykes
2. Marrion Butts
3. Ken Simms
4. Hugh Millen
5. Zeke Mowatt

I am going to do this twice because the championship teams will dominate the top 5.

1 Brady
2 Bruschi
3 Rodney
4 Brown
5 Corey Dillon (His 1600 yards and punishing playoff run is the best football I have ever seen) I know I shouldn't put him there because it was one year but it was just too awsome.

the second list will exclude guys with rings

1 Bledsoe (OK so he has a ring sue me)
2 Ben Coates he is the best TE I've seen Russ was before my day
3 Tippet I learned football watching him when I was 8
4 Bruce Armstrong he was our oline while I was growing up most other guys on it were JAGS
5 Gino (I know I obviously never saw him play except highlights and even those are few and far between but he is the voice of the Pats and the guy is awsome.

Man it's tough to come up with a Top 5. VERY hard to narrow down. My list is mostly modern players, which has a lot to do with the fact I only started watching the game in the late 80s/early 90s when I was growing up. That said, here we go...

1. Tom Brady (Pretty much the list has to start with him)
2. Randy Moss (I just love Randy-- don't even care this is only his 3rd yr)
3. Drew Bledsoe (The reason this is my team and I fell in love with football)
4. Ben Coates (Possibly the most underrated TE ever)
5. Rodney Harrison

I HATE having to leave off a guy like Chris Slade who I loved watching play when I was younger. I also hate having to leave off a guy like Tippett who was just slightly before my time as a football fanatic.

1- Rodney Harrison
2- Tom Brady
3- Rodney Harrison
4- Rodney Harrison
5- Rodney Harrison ( just love him...n miss him :( )

Wow, someone else who remembers Slade. He was the reason I wore #53 when I played in high school. I just dated myself a bit. My list is based on my first days as a Pats fan in 1984 (i.e., no one earler, like Gino).

Favorite Pats:

Harrison
Slade
Tippett
Bruschi
Brady

Favorite from a performance standpoint:

Brady
Tippett
Coates
Martin*
Moss

I know Martin defected to the Jets, but he really was one of the best and most consistent RBs the Pats have had in recent years.

1) Brady
2) Hannah
3) Moss
4) Tippett
5) Haynes

That's in order of how good they were. I feel dirty not having Troy Brown and Ben Coates, at the very least, in there.

1: Sam Cunningham
2: Williw McGinest
3: Steve Grogann
4: Ty Law
5: Logan Mankins

1) Drew Bledsoe
2) Tom Brady
3) Ty Law
4) Andre Tippett
5) Kevin Faulk

Brady
Harrison
Bruschi
Law
Bingo

I bet Bill and I have the same list.

Five with rings..
Brady
Willie
Rodney
Tedy
Troy

Five without
Hannah
Coates
Cunningham
Armstrong
Darryl Stingley

I know this has probably already done before, or maybe not, but anyhow, it's my 101st post and thought I'd start a thread for once.

My Top 5 are: (Besides Coach BB! and Mr. Kraft)

1) Rodney Harrison - I've seen the tapes and he's left his soul out there for this team.
2) Ty Law - Incredible key player.
3) Tom Brady - Monday Night bumped him up some spots.
4) Corey Dillon - I miss that 2004 season, was fun, especially how we handled Pittsburgh in the playoffs.
5) Tedy Brushi - Like Rodney, he left his mark and heart out on the field every game.

My Next 5 would be (I started watching football in 1994 and religiously in 1999).

6) Kevin Faulk - I just love his running and dependability
7) Troy Brown
8) Wes Welker - One of the toughest players I've ever seen
9) Mike Vrabel - Loved watching him coming on to block for a running play
10) Richard Seymour + Williw McGinest + Ted Johnson + Randy Moss + Rosevelt Colvin + Roman Phifer + Larry Izzo + Asante Samuel + Adam Vinatieri + The O Line + Antowain Smith + Ellis Hobbs + Jerod Mayo :D

after 1: Brady and 2: Hannah there would be many of them (too many...): Bledsoe, Stanley Morgan, Mc Ginest, Grogan, Cunningham,
Nance, Tippett, Cappelletti, Bruschi, Harrison, etc etc

1. Bruschi
2. Brady
3. Brown
4. Bledsoe
5. Big Sey 93

The 5 B's :D

1. Brady
2. Troy Brown
3. Vinatieri
4. Bruschi
5. Moss

942. Robert Edwards
943. Reche Caldwell

Actually, now that I think about it, I feel bad for Edwards. Oh well.

Caldwell shouldn't be so low. I know he dropped that AFCCG Indy pass, but please remember Gaffney caught the TD the next play so the team lost no points. In that same post season, bugeyes hauled in that bomb from Brady at Qualcomm to take down the #1 seeded Chargers.

I think Doug Gabriel was a lot worse that year - to the point where he just got benched around week 9 for the rest of his tenure.

1. Robert Weathers (played RB and his performance vs Miami in the 1985 AFCCC made me a life-long fan. I was just a kid. No rational explanation available.)
2. Brady
3. Bruschi
4. Troy Brown
5. Rodney Harrison

Tom Brady
Drew Bledsoe
Troy Brown
Tedy Bruschi
Ty Law

My five which changes all the time except for No. 12 and 73.
1. Brady
2. Hannah
3. S. Morgan
4. Brown
5. Tippett

.

1. Brady
2. Hannah
3. Tippett
4. Morgan
5. Haynes
.

Wow... 2-5 were my favorites growing up with Tippett being my absolute favorite when I was younger. I'd have to add Grogan to my list of old-time favorites.

Honestly, there are too many choices for me. I also liked Coats, Martin and Bledsoe from the 90's team (among others)

Top 5 all-time for me:

1. Brady.
2. Tippet
3. Hannah
4. Grogan
5. Bledsoe - there are really many that I could choose from here.

Top 3 from:

80s: Tippet
90s: Bledsoe
2ks: Brady

Harrison
Brown
Brady
McGinest
Bledsoe
