Rex Ryan Leaves Voice Mail For Jets Season Ticket Holders

Seems a silly thing to criticize. If Bill Belichick left an automated message for Patriots' season ticket holders, I know some folks on this board who would vacuum pack their phones and never again wash their right ears.

This is a valid statement because Bill has actually done something.

I think Rex is eating too many vicodins.

"Hey fans this is your Head Coach Rex Ryan, any food left over from the tailgate please bring it to the lockeroom before kick off.....and, um...oh yeah lets cheer very loudly on sunday.....and stuff........anyway yeah, thank's guys."

And you think a chunk of Jets fans haven't already done that after they heard the message?

I don't know how you guys can criticize Rex on this one. Its a great move and I guarantee it will work in terms of firing up the fans.

I love it. He's basically telling the fans, hey we need you. we can win this thing but we need your help. Its no different than what you'd see at a high school pep rally the night before teh big game. I wish someone on the Pats would do it so we could start hearing some noiz at Gillette. Football is a game of passion and energy and both of those things are contagious.

It wont guarantee victory but it definitely will help create a fun atmosphere for football.

dumb, fat, douchebag fatty?

Really? How old are you? 12?

you should hear the stuff I say durring games, all the manginas, calling cutler a cry baby pusy, all the douch bag comments. I pretty much hate every team except the patriots, and I express that in a very immautre manner.

I can't wait for him to call the season ticket holders by the end of the season begging for his job.

Those should be fun calls to listen to!

In the meantime, I LOVE Rex Ryan - - this is entertainment at its finest!

Has anyone seen Rex Ryan and Joe Biden in the same room?...........I don't think so.

Yeah, you would get this sort of thing. THAT's the correct approach. This is effin' fun, no? This is so much more fun than wondering if they will or won't shake hands after the game. That was uncomfortable. This is the sort of circus atmosphere that make some NFL games a week long blast.

Rexy has tried to stoke the Pats-Jets fire from the minute he was hired. That's a whole big bag of fun.

Emphasis mine, it is exactly something you would see at a high school pep rally which is why people are ripping it.

Are PSL sales finished for the Green Beans? Maybe he's just buttering up the fans for a hard pitch later in the season.

It's a bit hyperdramatic but it will work for it's intended purpose of firing up the fans.

Plus it is entertaining to the media and sure gives the Pats some bulletin board material.

Honestly we have bigger fish to fry, like getting ready for the game. This is just a distraction which may or may not backfire.

So ... the fans are the reason the Jet's have sucked for 40+ years???

Muffy and I take great exception to your uncivility. It disturbs our discussions as we sit in our red seats reviewing our Fidelity portfolios. So much noise! Do stop, you brute.

you guys gotta chill.its pretty cool a coach would do that. if you hate the jets thats one thing, but if you are going to be a straight shooter, you have to admit its cool

God, this is going to be a high octane weekend of football for me. My Gators going up against Lane Kiffen's big mouth and the Vols. On Sunday, my Pats going up against Rex Ryan's big mouth and the Jets. I'm going to have to take my heart medication for this one.

i agree i like it he is just trying to get the fans up for the game

i think if BB gave a pats season ticket holder a voice mail they would wet them self"s lol

If we must attend a gentlemanly game of cricket, do remember to bring the wine coolers and the finest caviar that Bambi, your darling wife, has available. Good tidings, my humble friend.

No it's not. Why wouldn't they just do it regardless? And for a regular season game?
