Like to recommend a small change to the scoring method. It is possible to have wrong outcome and still win with this formular if the scores are close. For example: team A defeats team B by the score of 24 to 23.

the closest predictions are:
team A team B
23 24
27 23

The first prediction got the game winner wrong, but still has a lower gross error of 2 points; the second prediction got the winner right and has a gross error of 3 points. Your scoring would award the weekly winning prediction to the first player. I think we should award the second player for predicting the game outcome correctly.

So here is the proposed formula
1). You have to correctly predict the winner (formula does not apply if the game is a tie); other scores are disregarded.
2). your old formula to determine the net score winner.

nice suggestion, but why not play for a year and see how the contest plays itself out first? it's been working pretty well for the last few years and has the benefit of being simple.
