Behind the scenes in all of this,is the agent,Eugene Parker .The Patriots avoid his draft choices,if possible, not because he's a tough negotiator, but because he's a swarmy jerk and the holdout prince.

I'm sure he fu-kd up the the talks on extending Seymour..whispering in his ear...."We got them over a barrel,
Julius Peppers,Richard,Julius Peppers".

I think a couple of years back,Colonel Parker was suspended by the PA for poaching clients, while being unregistered.

BB is loathed to deal with him and I think his patience wore thin, quite quickly.

Now,Richard is blaming all on the colonel and I smell a lawsuit coming.

IMO,this is the back-story of the Seymour trade.

Where'd you hear this? Richard suing him etc.

Well the Raiders are involved in this so of course somebody's gonna get sued...

oh you mean between Sey and Parker.

What's the chances Seymour just ends up back where he started, with the Patriots?

I still believe that there is a small possibility that the deal will be voided, in which case Sey will play for pioli.

What's the chances Seymour just ends up back where he started, with the Patriots?

Slim to none. Goodell may have to step in. It is NOT in the interest of the NFL to let players negate trades because they don't like them.

zero...it's not gonna happen. The league would be in chaos if they voided a trade......remember Jake Plummer?.......refused the trade, retired and had to pay back 6MILLION! in signing bonus.

This is what Seymour is lookin at.....losing a yrs salary and paying back 5m plus in bonus money. The NFL will not intervene...Done Deal.

First, it is Eugene Parker, not Eric.

Second, it was Carl Poston who was suspend and it is he and his brother who Belichick avoids.

Parker and his partner Roosevelt Barnes have represented several Patriots under Belichick.

Parker could be behind the problems with this whole situation, but you got some of the facts wrong.

I'd say to quote BB, "less than zero."

I just couldn't ever in my wildest dreams imagine Belichick welcoming him back to play here. Like mg said, if it came down to it, maybe he'd go somewhere else--but there's no way (IMHO) that he'd end up back here.

Mgmt. would never allow it.

But isn't that exactly what happened when
TO didn't want to report to Baltimore,
refused to report, got the trade nixed by the league
... and ended up in Philly where he wished to be?

If you're going load this much speculation into a post, at least try to be right about something in the content. FFS, you didn't even get the agent's name right (it's Eugene).

This same agent represents Tyson Jackson, who Pioli's Chiefs drafted #3 overall in this past draft, and then signed with relative ease. So it's pretty obvious that if the Pats have any 'longstanding' grudge against him, it's only come about in the few months since Pioli left. In other words, it doesn't exist; you're just making crap up.

So no, the inside story here is that you need to get a clue and stop making lame threads.

No its not. TO was suppose to be a free agent, but his moron agent forgot to put the papers in to file for free agency. That was a technicality. Seymour is under contract.

He can be as mad as wants at his agent but the fact is that a trade was made and barring some kind of well hidden physical problem he is now a Raider. I think most people can understand how devastating this trade is to the player; from best to worst overnight. On the other hand, the Raiders have him for exactly 16 games. Yes, he could be franchised but would then still be in line for a pretty healthy and guaranteed paycheck for next year. The fact is that the Raiders offered a deal that the Patriots couldn't refuse. He could play this year for us and we would get a so-so compensatory pick ( assuming the conventional wisdom that he wouldn't be re-signed) or he could go to Oakland and we get a very high first round pick, possibly with a salary cap on the 2011 draft class. Seymour has been a very "it's a business" player so he knows the program as well as anybody. Having said all that, I think he has been a great player for us and I'll miss seeing him in a Patriot's uni.

bEst Seymour qoute ever:

"richard will you give the patriots a home town discount?"
seymour:" hometown discount? Im from South Carolina"

Right ya be!
I'd forgotten that.

Where did you hear about Seymour blaming the agent? I googled and found nothing. Got a link?

What's the agent go to do with all the happenings. Richard got traded to the raiders by the patriots. Has nothing to do with the agent. Maybe, now the agent can step in and get a deal for the player.

idle speculation.

I have a question and I am sure one of you would know the answer.

Seymour is playing the 09 season for about $ 3.8 million. I find that a very low number. Was he paid a bonus up front that would include the 09 season? And if so would he not have to pay the Patriots back those monies if he decides he is bigger than the NFL and does not report?

I figured you'd drop in eventually,WTF......This is the best thread on the Seymour situation, all week.....They're all speculative...you moron......Jeez...the Pioli reference is irrelevant per your usual,non-socratic drivel,.....go away....scoot

No.
