I am sure there are some HOF pitchers who were up and down at the start of their careers.
By all accounts, Clay has at least two very good pitches. He has been impressive on a number of occasions and if he pitches well in his next start is probably the staff's #3. I get a rise out of fans who want instant gratification and slam someone........................only to come back at a later date and drool over their keyboards with enthusiasm.

Amazingly, he's hooked up with some serious white trash hotties, when he looks like the back of my as.... Another example of how shallow women generally are. If you got loads of cash, the yay-yo, or are famous in any way, you can get yourself a serious looker, just about anytime. Good for him. Remember, never hate the playa fellas.

Shallow? Look at your sig lol. I'd pick looks over career when it comes to women (as would most men), but you could argue that being a professional baseball player on one of the best teams in the world says more about your character traits than do implants and blond streaks...I'm sure Bucholz is with her for her personality too...I think people in general are more shallow than they'd like to believe, though there are strong biological reasons for it.

The whole point in hooking up is the physical attraction though (generally speaking of course). A hottie will go with an ugly guy (and I don't like to call anyone ugly), if he's got cash, is famous, and/or has the yay-yo. Now, how many men do the same? Hugh Hefner can get the girl in my sig to blow him, cuz of those 3 reasons. However, would you go down on Elizibeth Taylor? How about Rosanne Barr? That's my general point is all. No matter how famous a girl may be, if she's not attractive, all the cash, drugs, and paparazi in the world, aren't going to get me to bang her. Generally speaking, the same can't be said for women. Certainly no where near on the same scale anyway.

How many times have you been out and about and seen a smoking hot girl with a guy who's got a horn sticking out of his forehead or is a wrecking ball with a chrome dome and the first thought is "That guy either has a sausage down to his ankle or a bank account with many zeros behind a crooked number." Too many times to count.

How many times have you been out and about and seen a good looking guy with a chick who fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, or is a planet with her own zip code and the first thought is "That guy needs to get his eyes checked." Can't remember the last time I saw that, because it basically never happens.

Earlier this year there was a website that showed the wives of one of the American league pitching staffs in a city that shall not be named that was to be kind, at a serious disadvantage to what you'd expect..................

Bingo! You know, when that line was posted, Tom was the first guy I thought about. I guessed it worked out for him..............I think he married a hottie after the divorce which he wouldn't have been able to get had he not married someone rich and infamous.

Between Clay getting it together,the starters looking good finally, Ortiz finding his batting stroke (.290 in September), Ellsbery getting settled in at leadoff again and the bullpen stabilizing with the Wagner pickup..you can be optimistic going into September...............

In defensive for Pessimistic Pete, if there is one, everyone will be on here saying how much he sucks if he blows a game in the playoffs
