Bills Fans are Delusional

What do you want to debate?

Who's got the better stats?

Gomer.

Who's more clutch?

Brady.

What else is there to debate?

The floor is yours Mr Meat.............

Manning's stats aren't better. This is well worn territory. They seem better at first blush but, when you adjust for longevity and indoor/outdoor, Brady is the better statistical QB.

If Manning had as many Super Bowl wins as Brady, I'd say without question he is the better quarterback.

He's had at least two, maybe three chances to get there and has blown it.

If you think he's the better QB, have at it.

For somone (peekaboo; he's one of yours by the way, so good luck with that) says Manning is the better QB because he's more clutch, that is nonsense, plain and simple.

Clutch does not equal one Super Bowl win.

All I can say is that there are too many variables to draw a conclusion that everyone can agree upon. There are ten more players on offense besides the QB, and 11 other players on defense, which is just as important. Then there is the question of depth. Coaching is a huge issue as well as the game plans. Special Teams...even the way the ball bounces or bad calls.

There is a lot going on in a football game. When people debate this issue, there is always excuses for their guy and credit given to him that deserves to go to other members of the team.

This, my friend, is a debate you can never really win. Most people start with the conclusion and then seek proof to support it as the argument thickens. I wouldn't put down a person that held either QB over the other if they had to choose between them. If there were a sure-fire answer, it wouldn't be debated so much.

Why would I lie?

Because you don't have a link to a reputable source that supports your opinion perhaps?

Please, just a simple google search to a reputable NFL source that supports your opinion that:
"Believe it or not, a ton of people think that Manning is better than Brady. In fact, the national polls I've seen favor Manning as the better QB by however wide a margin."

Back up your argument/position

I haven't offered my opinion on the subject execpt to say it's close. When you look at a poll and see that more people have voted for Manning than Brady, take it for what it's worth.

I'm not really interested in convincing Patriots fans that I've seen these polls. After these polls take place on say nfl.com, they are sent God knows where...Internet purgatory. If you don't believe I've seen them, I don't care.

Here's one that I've seen recently that asks the fans to rank the top 20 QBs, not specifically Brady vs. Manning. But Manning is at #1 and Brady at #2.

List Ranker - Rank 'Em: NFL Quarterbacks - ESPN

If you really want to repute my "story," find some polls that put Brady first. Anyway, the point is that it's always close. Very close. A lot closer than if you were to conduct the same poll here, where there is a raging bais, which is expected and is how it should be.

A raging bias has nothing to do with it; if Manning had three super bowl wins, was Mr clutch when it counted and had the stats he has now, I'd come clean and give him his due. Rational fans, not homeristic yahoos, give other players credit if they are better than their players.

The national fan bias against Brady is as clear as the nose on your face; he's a good looking guy, makes tons of money, has won three super bowls and is married to a super model that 90% of those biased fans couldn't land with a fist full of thousand dollar bills.

Jealousy is an ugly thing..................

LOL, it's not that you have a raging bias, it's just that anyone that disagrees with you does, and they are just jealous.

Nice try.

Ok chief, we're done with this ***********, enough is enough.

And I hope you had a chance to see the game tonight to see how a real team runs a no huddle offense.

Can't wait till the first time TO runs that crossing route and someone cleans his ****ing clock and knocks his **** in the dirt so he can go off on that fraud you have playing QB.

No raging bias here either, just the facts.

You try say your not biased, yet what do these quotes demonstrate?

"Believe it or not, a ton of people think that Manning is better than Brady. In fact, the national polls I've seen favor Manning as the better QB by however a wide margin."

First you say a wide margin, then you back track and say:

"I haven't offered my opinion on the subject execpt to say it's close. When you look at a poll and see that more people have voted for Manning than Brady, take it for what it's worth."

I do take it for what its worth, in 2007 and leading up to the 2008 people overwhelmingly picked Brady, but he didn't play at all last year due to a career threatening injury. Now its almost dead even again even in light of the injury, thats what the polls are worth to me.... Lets see where we are in February :)

How can I be biased when I'm talking about polls? Polls just reflect a lot of people's opinions. If 50-something percent voted for Manning, that has nothing to do with ME.

And those quotes reflect nothing, certain not a contradiction. A ton of people did and do vote for Manning, but that's not to say a ton of people didn't vote for Brady, too. If you are going to nitpick what I say, get it right...I said I've seen Manning win by "HOWEVER wide a margin," not a wide margin. That's a huge difference. "However wide a margin" could mean anywhere between one vote and a million.

You make a valid point.

But I'm not sure if it's true about the "overwhelming" part. People take the past into consideration, and Peyton's 2007 season wasn't too shabby at all, either. Manning had a year that was as impressive as Brady's 2007 season in 2004. In fact, Manning should be the one with many of the single season records, but his coach sat him out an entire game as well as the ends of several others, and the Colts let up on teams when they had the game in the bag. And if winning championships is the barometer of success, then Brady's 2001 season was more impressive than his 2007 season...something I don't believe.

Keep in mind that I'm talking about polls and not putting Brady down in any way. It's always pretty close. I can see valid arguments to pick either one.

I agree, it's close right now. I suspect, by season's end, that gap will widen considerably.

We'll see about that. I expect them both to have great years.

Nice work.

No problem.

And if you are going to make every discussion into a *********** like you have with this one, you are welcome to leave anytime you want, we have enough ballbreaker opposing fans around here, we don't need another one.

I didn't make it into a cirlce jerk...just brought up some polls I've seen. I said up front that I wasn't going to debate Brady vs. Manning, especially on a Pats board. It's a tired subject. The conclusion I personally draw is that these are the best two QBs in the league. That's good enough for me.

And I wasn't breaking balls either. Far be it from me to break balls on a thread entitled "Bills Fans Are Delusional."

Besides all that, today is my birthday. Wish me happy birthday, and we'll be friends.

Happy Birthday Bills fan, although I think you'll agree using the word happy in the same sentence with Bills fan is a double negative, is it not?

Not THIS time of year....lol

Happy belated B'day

Says THE biggest moron on this or any other board; still think Dice K is the best pitcher the Red Sox have, that Doc Rivers can't coach or John McEnroe is the sports equal of Lebron James?

And please stop stalking me on this forum, you weird, twisted freak.

And I heard you yesterday babbling on the radio about how the Red Sox messed up and should have never messed with Dice K's mechanics as afterall, he was an 18 game winner last year.

This nonsense from you right before they laughed their balls off and hung up on you.

You mental midget, one trick pony assclown.

After last night's preseason ass whopping by the Steelers, does any Bills Fan still think that the Bills will beat the Patriots in Game 1? I know that their great savior TO has not been playing in the preseason, but what can even the Best WR do in the Bills offense with that QB and O-Line?

I am starting to read some sense on the Bills boards, some are writing this season off hoping to get a new head coach and QB for next season. You would have thought that there are some Bills fans who are facing the reality of their team and admitting it.

Wonders never cease.

The Patriots lucked out in the game. They had no business winning that game.
