Phil Collins is a genious. I don't understand all the hate he gets.

That's a pretty OK song. The drum solo at least is classic and memorable.

Something about that song and guys who played their college ball in Florida.

That song is very popular among a lot of NFL players. Solomon Wilcots and Ross Tucker have talked about it many times. They even get pumped hearing it while on mic.
It's all about getting pumped up. **insert Hans and Frans joke here**

Collins had a couple of cameos on Miami Vice back in the day. Maybe hes some kind of local legend.

For any of us who grew up in the 80s, gotta like In the Air Tonight!!!

I remember hearing that the football team at the Univ. of Miami listen to this song before games to pump them up. It's part of a tradition.

Two years ago, Kevin Garnett told WEEI that this was one of his favorite songs and the play it at the Garden all the time now before Celtics games

Anyone who hates Phil Collins just doesn't understand music. You don't have to like all his stuff, but the guy is a very good musician and a better composer.

Apparently you never got to see Phil Collins Live shortly after he left Genesis and before all the Disney soundtrack stuff! In the Air Tonight before Miami Vice and in a small venue was without doubt "wicked pissah"

Don't mind this song. Coming from London he should automatically be regarded as a second class citizen but other than that I don't mind his music. My dad has loads of Genesis stuff...

Great choice by him...the fact that teammates also love it is even better.

I hate listening to Phil Collins except for a little old Genesis, but that is a meaningful song for the Patriots.

I think its a good song, but only listen to it as a cover song by NONPOINT, in their album RECOIL

Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds ... But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist.

Pardon my ignorance for not knowing but does anyone know the favorite songs of the other Patriots players? Seems like it would be a great mix CD to put together at some point.

I was at the Infamous Monday Night game against Baltimore two years ago and that song was played during warm ups.

You can't go a day in South Florida without hearing it on the radio, it's like their anthem down here. The song is a classic.

Cool! I don't understand music. :)

It runs deep...I remember escaping with a friend from a 9th-grade party because we just couldn't be in the same room as Su-su-ssudio. Phil's voice still makes my skin crawl.

Edelman's favorite is Hava Nagila.
