I'm talking about BB's professional goals, not his personal. And I never said he was perfect. Everyone knows that he spent more time at stadiums than home with the family, yet if you see the way his children flock around him, you'd think ......well, he seems to be a good dad. And the way his fellow coaches, th players and organization speak of him....yeah, it's easy to admire someone who's incredibly dedicated, nose to the grind stone and an utmost professional.

These are things to admire and when he backs them up in his own words, then you believe the best. And again, I never said he was a perfect. But from what I've seen as a spectator, I do believe he is a good father, a good son and an incredible leader. And just to have a couple of those good qualities......makes him special. All of this is kinda funny because I've never said anything bad or derrogitory about BB on this board, yet I get crapped on because I admire him, maybe more than I should have, but I do.

And thanks for acknowledging that "my perspective" is better. Because, God forbid I should admire anybody when people want to throw a person into a straight jacket.

This thread was on it's way off the front page until you revisited it this AM. And once again just to deal with the choir's hurt feelings and to rationalize how you and BG are entitled to be more upset both by the accusations and the response to BG's little off key diatribe because as females who admire this man you are somehow dealing with a different emotional dynamic which the rest of us should be sensative to. Well guess what girlfriend, the guys don't get it excuse card won't work with me.

Neither will the it's fine when I vent but uncalled for or out of character when I get vented back at. Grow up, take responsibility for what you say and how you behave here and don't try to hide behind my skirt when you end up looking shallow. It's not your gender's fault. It's a little personality quirk that obcessive individuals display irrespective of gender. They over react because in their minds it's always about OMG how does this impact me. Quit stalking coach like love-struck schoolgirls under the guise of actually listening to his lectures on personal responsibility, and building shrines to him he never asked for that have more to do with your own immature psyche, and what nutballs say about him won't impact you at all. You may still be pissed about what they say like the rest of us are, but then it will be because of any potential impact on him and his family and the team most of us come here to discuss, and not merely because it impacts your fantasy of him as your flawless man.

Yeah, I guess I'm saying the whole episode didn't do anything (in my squalid eyes) to diminish his professional or personal reputation.

And if this kind of thing, of all things, is all it takes for you to feel disappointed in BB then MO's right.

There have been some rather crude jokes about this going around. I won't repeat any of them unless someone asks me nicely.

To me this is a non story as far as BB is concerned. However, this was NOT the finest hour for the Herald. It would have been OK to have a little blurb in the "gossip" section. But, running a front page story about it was irresponsible.

It's presumably all about selling newspapers. But it's unclear that the Herald folks know what sorts of things actually sell newspapers considering that they are failing to sell enough papers. So, it probably does come down to irresponsible. At least they don't have a Borges on their staff - altho Felger seems to be inching that way, unfortunately.

I'm with you HCOBB. From what I've seen of your posts in this thread, you haven't jumped ship on BB like "Bill's Girl" did.

Where I disagree with you is with your defense of Bill's Girl. Her posts here have exposed her as someone who jumps ship at a mere accusation. If and when the accusation is proven, THEN she can vent at BB. But until then, venting at BB now exposes here as a fraud in calling herself "Bill's Girl".

Thank you, HC......However a lot of the stuff in this thread is MY fault! In my OPINION this is embarassing for BB and the franchise and a possible distraction during training camp and possibly the regular season. I am dissapointed by the mere hint of impropriety because that is how I would feel if something like this happened in MY life. This is my OPINION plain and simple. The facts will come out eventually and when they do, I will be the first to post a huge appology to BB and every member of this board if these allegations are baseless. HugeCrush has indeed taken the "lets wait and see" high road, while I have been quick to try and convict BB in a matter in which I have no personal knowledge.

Since Pats67 has a selective memory, I will reiterate why I chose my screen name......It had to do with BB bringing 3 Super Bowl championships to MY football team......a team that was once the laughingstock of the NFL.......and oh by the way in 2000 had a new HC who no one thought Bob Kraft should have hired. I "loved" BB because he PREACHED teamwork, work ethic, honesty, personal responsibility and taking the blame when something is your fault. This is the type of man I wanted in my life.....thankfully now I have one of my own with these same qualities. These are the type of qualities I wanted to incorporate into my own life!

Being "Bill's Girl" has nothing to do with sex, school girl crushes or stalking. The fact that Pats67 called HugeCrush and I stalkers is highly insulting! BB has been at a great MANY events in our geographical area and we have not attended any of these events. I chose this name to show my respect for BB as a coach and a leader!

Not that this is anyone's business, but HC and I have full time jobs, I am also a full time student finishing up my BA in English Language and Literature with a history minor and HC is gearing up for a major exam that will increase her certification in her chosen field. She has been in a solid and stable relationship for the past 6 years and I am planning my 2007 wedding. Trust me Pats67, neither one of us has time to stalk anyone except the sandman!

I have seriously had it with this load of crap being dumped on me! Where the f*ck were all of you when people were calling for BB's head during the FA period? HUH??? Where are all the people who b*tched about coaching decisions during the regular season? All of that gets forgotten in the optimism of camp and the regular season.

I don't quite agree with your characterization of BG. Yes, I think that wording was a little emotional in her initial post. But, I don't think that ever jumped off the BB bandwagon.

I think that she has a lot of respect for BB and was disappointed that he would be drawn into the middle of this messy divorce. She then got defensive when she was attacked for it.

I don't know how she or other "choir members" view BB other than that they hold him to a very high standard. Probably too high a standard for a human being to be held to.

But, I doubt that she or the others are throwing him over because of this.

I don't take this incident very seriously as it stands now. Maybe that is the guy thing in me and I would have a double standard if we were talking about a woman.

As a paralegal (or someone who studied to be one) please give me your esteemed opinion as to the relative levels of evidence against BB (for a non-crime, btw) and the levels of evidence that were against OJ, Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy.

I am NOT comparing BB to those killers........this has nothing to do with evidence or lack thereof. What I am asking is if you would have blindly argued for those men no matter what??
