Was wondering about whether or not the Patriots will, or should, play Tom F-ing Brady in the preseason this year.

Tom Brady: To Pre, or Not To Pre | Bleacher Report

What does everyone think?

Depends, IMO, and I'm sure Belichick will make the right choice. If his knee is at or near 100%, my incredibly uneducated guess is that he could probably use the preseason snaps to shake off like a year's worth of rust.

Brady will probably play a couple series then KOC will get the reps in the pre season.

well, lets see here

if hes at 100%, i expect his preseason work to be similar to the preseason work of any other of his seasons when he was a starter...

He didn't play a down all preseason last year, I don't see him playing this preseason unless they feel it's best...at most one game and even then maybe a half.

You didn't read the article did you?

Thanks for your thoughts though. Thats reasonable.

He'll have gone about 1.5 years having thrown only a handful of passes that mattered. I certainly hope he gets some playing time with the first unit offense.

That's where this is coming from on my point, which is he should play.

efin98 thinks julio lugo is a good short stop:D. that's all you need to know about him.lol. i think brady should sit until the last preseason game. why take a chance. i would rather he be healthy and rusty.

I don't see where you get that... he didn't play at all last year in the preseason, and this year he is coming off a year in which he didn't play at all. Don't you see the conundrum there?

There is no real set pattern for this one, and this year there is the question of whether he could use the time or the reps...

I say reps.

Football players play football......

I'd say let him play maybe but not the first quarters the first 2 weeks, just to make sure nobody out there takes a "accidental" cheap shot on his knee again. It would help to see him shake off the cob webs for sure

He needs to play. No need having him come into the first game of the season rusty. I say one quarter at least (be it total or all in one game).

I think he'll decide himself but having had that sort of injury myself you need to play, even for half a game a time because its only time in the middle that gets you back into the zone

He , and the NEP, need to test that knee under some pressure because no point finding out halfway through the second quarter vs the Bills that its troubling him in game conditions

I think he'll play some reps for sure ...

Ugh... the thought of him not being able to go makes me sick to my stomach...

i'll tell you what, he better be playing in all 4 games and i expect him to play at least 2 quarters in all of em. If not, then i dont see how we can start him.
