We're on the clock. Will we trade or stand pat and pick a player?

Better still . . . classical music on the stereo, and chatting with Pats fans. :)

No one can see the future, but that is true assuming Thomas will only be a RFA. It works both ways. They are smart enough to prepare for either scenario if they think its an important consideration. Because, as I said, they are smart and know what they're doing.

The one thing I am not questioning is the Pats Front Office. And, the Pats DID address either scenario by signing Chris Baker. The Patriots can only prepare so much for a scenario. Adding Baker does that. Having Listori and DeVree in camp and bringing them to the practice squad, in all likelihood, gives them a 3rd TE going into free agency in 2010.

And, if there was a TE who graded out ahead of Thomas, I think they'd have taken him already.

Roy Miller was my 7th round mock pick for the Patriots.

D'oh!

Too bad we missed out on Caldwell.

Which one of them was just ranting positively about Marvin Lewis and Cincinnati?

And your point would be wrong because a 5th or 7th has every chance of making this team as guys like Wendell, Connolly, Spann, Guyton, Redd, Koppen, etc.

With the influx of defensive backs, I think we'll have less low round filler this year (excluding Koppen). Are you saying marginal players replacing them (maybe excluding Guyton) or in addition?

Look at 2007. When Richardson gets cut it'll be 7 for 7 and he hasn't contributed much, if anything.

Basically, I think the poster has a point.

With the 83rd pick (19th in the 3rd Round), the Patriots select WR Brandon Tate, North Carolina.

I want Sidbury!

Usually the pick shows up right away if we have someone we like, I guess we are trying to trade again.

Brandon Tate, WR is the pick.
