Like most of you on the board, I'm a big fan of all the major sports. I just getting a lot more amped up when it comes to Patriot Sundays. Always have. There is something about football that just isn't matched by sox, C's etc. That being said the closest thing for me as a fan to the intensity of a pats game (nevermind a pats playoff game) is Hockey playoffs. Especially with the opportunity the B's have, I expect to get some of that jolt that I get on Sunday's. It will be a nice bridge to the draft and to training camp.

Anyone agree? Seems like Hockey playoffs has that mix of fast paced intensity with a mix of the all or nothing on every play.

I was a hockey junkie in the 70's with Bobby Orr,Esposito ect..I am pumped about this team and cant wit to see Milan Lucic intimidate the Canadians.

I agree. Nothing compares to the event that is NFL sunday but hockey playoffs is amazing. Unfortunately, none of my Bruins memories are that great, but I do remember staying up late night watching the Bs and Devils play into double and triple OT in the late 90s. Great games, and I'm pumped to see what this team can do.

Totally agree. Hockey playoffs are very intense and physichal, much like the NFL. Does anyone remember when my fellow swede Michael Thelven broke Montreal's Stephane Richer's arm in the playoffs?
Late 80's IIRC. Habs went nuts and called big time AHL fighter Steve Fletcher and Lyndon Byers beat him up while John Kordic and Jay Miller battled.

NHL playoffs are always a great time of the year. You can beat some of those double/triple overtime games that spill over into the wee hours of the morning. The Stanley Cup imo is the toughest trophey to win in sports due to the physical aspect. 4 rounds that can go 7 games. And the intensity of playoffs vs regular season is almost night and day at times.

Plus of from Canada so naturally its my favorite sport to watch. Even though my team is never in the playoffs...
