The give us:

#23 - Conner Barwin (This should please most:)_
#34 - Sean Smith (English and Beatty on the board but I like Smith for our secondary)
#47 - Louis Dalmus (I not sure if we go with Smith at 34 then take Dalmus here. I might have gone with the other two but to add a good OLB and two good DB's would not make me lose any sleep).
#58 - Shawn Nelson (He made some good points about Watson and maybe a draft day trade is in the mix for either him or Thomas??)
#89 - Gerald Cadogan (nice pick up to the OL late in the third)
#97 - Trevor Canfield ( I think would make a nice addition to the OL as well)
#124 - Mike Goodson (late round addition as we seem to always be looking for a replacement for Faulk:rolleyes:)

All in All a pretty good mock but it does have a few question mark just like they all do:D.

Josh Freeman slipping all with way to 52 was kinda far IMO and Freeman a couple of picks later at 55 was a little high but who am I to judge.

I love it. I'm with you, I'm a little puzzled by the back to back safety picks but they are both guys I like. I really liked the Cadogen and Canfield picks with 89 and 97. Now thats super value.

I saw this last night too and was unbelievably stoked. Best mock for the Pats I've seen (off of this board!). Sean Smith would be projecting to Corner in this scenario, not Safety. It's odd to get someone at almost 6'4" playing corner (especially for our team), but he has the speed and the agility and tested very well.

Delmas could learn from Sanders for a year (and maybe even Rodney?) and put on a little more weight and hopefully become the next punishing AFC SS.

Sean Smith would be a corner, not a safety. Not until later in his career.

This is the way that I see it as he grows into his heights he may end up being close to 220lbs. I like tall corners and with a guy like Springs around to help this kid I think is great.

Here is a name for all those long time Patriot fans that Sean Smith kinda reminds me of. Mike Haynes who we drafted back in 76 in the first round was a tall corner with great athletic ability for his height. I am not saying that Sean Smith is going to be a nine time pro bowler but for some reason other then the height I think Smith would be a great asset for our DB core.

Ok, I really like that draft. It sounds almost too good to be true, which means it probably is. :D

I do like Nelson, great athleticism and a willing blocker.

#23 is too high for Barwin IMO

If they draft Smith, what do they need Dalmus for?

Cadogan, Canfield, and Goodson are all pretty good later picks.

We need to draft an OT, DL, and OLB in our first 3 picks, we can get a fine OLB with #34

After that we can draft a OG, SS, and WR/RB/ or TE - best value is what we need.

We'll deal a few forward, and hopefully package some together since the top 2/3 of the 2nd round is awesome. On another site I had us trading 23, 58 to the cards for like 31, 61, and 90-something, and then package that up to move 89 and the cards pick to deal with the Vikings 2nd.

I'd be very happy with 6 guys total from these lists:

DL: Tyson Jackson, Ayers, Jarron Gilbert, Evander Hood, Ron Brace (yeah I know they need to trade up for Jackson or Ayers)

OLB: Maybin, Matthews, Barwin, English, Sintim

ILB: Rey, Matthews, Sintim (yes the 2nd two do project as ILB's too); no JL please.

OT: Beatty, Meredith, Cadogan, Fulton, TJ Lang

OG: Robinson, Levitre

S: Sean Smith, Moore, Rashad Johnson, Vaughn, Martin, Clemons

The problem I have with this draft is it doesn't account for NE's style of play very well.

Barwin √
Sean Smith - he's not considered to be that physical, and for a kid who looks like he'll fit best in a man-to-man scheme, that's not encouraging.
Delmas is decent value there, but I'm inclined to go with more of a tweener later and get that critical interior OL reserve slot filled here.
Nelson is an intriguing prospect, but he's not a good value based on team needs.
Cadogan - he needs to move inside to Guard, he might be able to play RT, but NE already has four RT/SwingTs as good or better on the roster. Cadogan is also very limited in space - he's a phonebooth type.
Canfield - actually not a bad choice, though he doesn't have the mobility I'd like for a NE OL, he's a late move to correct some earlier poor value choices.
Goodson - If you want to replace Faulk on Day Two, draft Ian Johson or Aaron Brown.
