What difference does it make who I am a fan of? All I said was that he left for the money. Good executives don't quit a good job to go work in Kansas City with no QB or coach unless he's getting a huge contract.
Because as a Jet fan you have no experience with successful coaches or executives.
Now, I can understand being a fan of the franchise whose history was summed up in "40 Years of Misery" that you would see a franchise having a rough couple of years as doomed. It would also make sense that you would think it virtually impossible for an executive to walk into a down franchise, turn it around, and actually be motivated by the opportunity to do so. Having nothing is the epitome of the challenge to an executive in building his own franchise.
As a Jet fan, you see the NFL as hoping that you get lucky. A man like Pioli or BB sees the NFL as an opportunity to implement your system and CREATE success.
Pioli came to NE when the franchise was in disrepair, and together with BB, built it into theb MODEL FRANCHISE IN THE NFL.
Scott Pioli's motivation is more likely his legacy, and the opportunity to show he can built a winner from the ground up than a little bit more money.
But, as I said, I wouldn't expect you to understand this from your perspective as a Jet fan.
