On ESPN radio. You can hear it at the 9 minute mark.

On the one hand, he says it's 55-45 that Cassel stays.

On the other hand, he suggests the possibility that the Pats trade Cassel for a first or a second . . . and then trade a second to get Derek Anderson. :bricks:

Wow. That's actually impressive he could conjure up a hypothetical so absurd. Good work by him.

All this helps the Pats, thanks John and other media folk.

He runneth a muck without Salisbury around anymore.....

Its always a sound move to trade a top 60 pick for a guy who's about to be cut.

Maybe Salsbury just sent Clayton a picture on his phone and he got really confused.

Wow. I refuse to believe he could actually say something as moronic.

Even the most ridiculous person following football would have to say that this logic is totally out ot lunch. Wow. I can't believe what I just saw.

as i was reading the original post, i was thinking, "why is this absurd." 55-45 he is traded, ok. or we trade for a top pick, ok.

where on god's earth did he get the ridiculous notion in his head that we would trade for derek anderson. is he an imbecile

Struggling to even find a reason we would want Anderson for free. Give me O'Connell and some vet weirdo to back him up before Anderson. Does Clayton remember what he looks like (outside of the 1st half of 07) ?

Yikes. Refuse to believe he's sane.

haha, I had to listen to it, and couldn't believe it. This guy isn't human.

I WILL SAY THIS WITH CERTAINTY!!!!

either the pats will trade him or the pats will keep him

Wow. Are you sure you want to go out on that thin of a limb?

This is coming from a guy who once said ''PM rubbing his own footballs would be a big advantage'', why am i not surprised?

He looks like Frank Perdue's son, half man, half chicken.

first i hear him say he hates the tuck rule. that's funny, 'cuz i hate him and love the tuck rule. then he says we should trade cassel for derek annderson. this guy is a complete moron. i've listened to this fool for the past 10 years and i can't ever remember hearing anything remotely insightful or intelligent being uttered by him.

Then you have no one to blame but yourself ;)

If you can wean yourself off ESPN, I promise you will be better for it - I stopped after last years Super Bowl and have not gone back yet, it was not easy at first, and I found myself wanting to watch the NFL Pre Game with Boomer and the Idiot Ditka this season, but I persevered.

It is easier to do if you have the NFL channel.

Clayton has been wrong on Cassel from day one. Remember he predicted the Pats would average 17 points a game with Cassel. He is just trying keep up his perfect batting average (.000).

Why would the Pats trade a second rounder for Derek Anderson? At this point, the Browns would be lucky to get a third rounder with his one year wonder status and his salary.
