... just INT'd Peyton's Little Brother and brought it back to the two. *sigh* :(

Nice for him to learn to catch Eli's passes now - a year too late.

That was a horrible throw though.

Deltha O'Neal could have played that.

Not to take anything away from Samuel, but I could have intercepted that ball. Not hard to intercept a ball when the QB overthrows the receiver and it lands in your breadbasket when you are five yards behind the receiver.

Asante chose money over championships.....

You can only say what's reasonable at the time and that was a fully reasonable statement at the time. If we have to be 100% correct in hindsight we'd all better say nothing.

Apparently it was hard to intercept last February. Again: *sigh* :cry2:

The Pats have done an amazing job of knowing when to let players go, when to be proactive with others, etc. Having said that, they blew it with Samuel. And seeing him return interceptions for tds week after week in playoff games is......not fun.

I hope Asante picks off three or four more today!

HEELLLLSSS YESSS!!!

You have to be able to separate perception from reality. The reality is that Asante was given a gift wrapped INT by Tavarius Jackson last week and it sounds as though this one was a gimme as well. He's on a lucky streak when it comes to INTs.

How was it ever fully reasonable? The Pats aren't entitled to championships and teams like Philly aren't excluded from winning championships. It was something better left unsaid.

Because when Welker said it the Patriots had a FAR better chance to win the SB than the Eagles did.

Asante's finishing some old business atm

Yeah, that streak's lasting a long time. I mean, come on. The guy's a top-notch CB and a real ballhawk. He was hugely missed this year.

On the first play from scrimmage, Asante also gambled, left his man wide open, and it would have been a TD if Eli's throw had been anywhere near accurate. Nobody will remember that, though...
