Martin and Mawae are both HOF, I saw the Jets one half away from a SB in 99, a couple of fg's away from an AFC Championship Game in 05, I have seen three playoff wins, the Jets may not have the Pats reign of dominance this decade but they have some marginal success. Numerous teams in the NFL have a less successful history then the Jets. RIght now we have a solid core of young talent w/ Keller, Cotch, Harris, Revis, Rhodes, Brick, Mangold, and Leon

They of the bloated payroll and no World Series wins this decade to show for it.

But at least you can fondly remember those 26 WS titles, a lot of good that does for you now............

And please name those "numerous" teams in the NFL that have a less successful history than the Jets; since the last trip to the big dance for the Jets ( you know, when Christ was still in a crib), only 6 teams of the 31 others have not been to the Super Bowl in that time. Those would be the expansion Browns and Texans, the Jags, the Lions, New Orleans and the Cardinals. The Cards may get there after this weekend, so congrats, your history is better than six of the thirty one (maybe down to five after Sunday).

Who is bragging? I became a fan in 97 and in my lifetime they have had moderate success. Obviously being a Pats fan you have been spoiled and dont realize that since I became a fan they have not been a pathetic franchise. Historically, they at least have a SB which almost 1/3 of the league can not say. The question posed was, since Broadway Joe whats the difference between the jets and Lions and I simply answered his question. Once upon a time (8 yrs ago) the Pats werent the benchmark of the NFL and had a history which was not noted for its success.

I have seen four world series and im only 21. I think life has been good to young Yankee fans. Your last sentence is like me saying to you at least you can remember your 3 SB's a lot of good that does for you now.

You can stop right there. Spoiled is not the word, blessed is the word. The Patriots have been to six Super Bowls in my lifetime, winning three and they've been highly competitive in every decade of their history, going to the Super Bowl in three of them.

Sorry, the Jets are sad sacks, a pathetic excuse for an NFL franchise.

It was a short three years ago Jets fans were dancing in the streets having Mangini as a coach, going 10-6 and getting smoked by the Patriots in the playoffs and they've not had a whiff of the playoffs since, lost their coach and have a 200 year old over the hill stiff of a QB.

Not to mention a gag job of historic proportions this year, going from 8-3, leading the division and looking like locks for AT LEAST the #2 seed in the AFC to 9-7, losing 4 of their last five (should have been 5 in a row, you know it, I know it, so let's not kid ourselves).

Pathetic sad sacks, you should wear an effin paper bag on your head at home games.

I was referencing the Yanks in the post you quoted. I already recognize the Jets for having a turd history. Whoever I quoted made it sound like it was hard to be a Yanks fan which it really isnt right now.
