That's what I thought when I heard this quote:

"If I'm there with one leg, I'll be out there." - Justin Tuck on his injury status for the Eagles-Giants playoffs game.

Compare that to LT about to sit out his 2nd straight playoff game.

Yeah, I'll take a Justin Tuck over an LT any Sunday. I want guys who are tough SOBs that want to play, not those who nurse their injuries during the time of their team's greatest need.

Does a hobbled LT at this point in his career give the Chargers a better chance to win than a healthy Sproles? I certainly don't think so.

I know we're supposed to hate LT around here, but playing hurt is not always what's best for the team. Especially if you're, you know, the running back. Unless you're Tomlinson's physician, you don't really know how effective he'd be.

I'm certainly not his physician but I can call him a *****. :)
Just saying, Tuck is the kind of football player I like.

Amen. When I heard that Philip Rivers was playing with basically no ACL last year, I had to admire his chutzpah, and question his sanity.

Maybe LT can just ask to have his groin removed for the game?? :D

i understand what youre saying VJC, but in reality, it doesnt make sense. sometimes injuries to the big toe make it impossible for a guy to play, whereas a broken leg may allow a person to play, and play effectively. if my understanding is correct, LT is a tough son of a gun, and he would do anything he could to play. hes a 30 year old RB, with a heck of a lot of carries. i think its safe to say his best years are behind him and his body is beat up. i dont think its fair to say hes not a gamer because hes missed a few playoff games. i think hes more injury prone now and hes a whole lot less effective with injuries. and he does have a torn groin...i pulled my groin once and could barely walk for 2-3 weeks

I'm sure LT concluded that letting Sproles carry the load is the "classy" thing to do. :singing:

I long for the day when the NFL looked like this:

YouTube - Joe Kapp

No snow angels, no beer bellies, no "spying," no nothing.

Thank you Goodell.

I'm pretty sure he did that when he had his gender reassignment surgery.

Steve Nelson, Felger, and the PFW guy whose name escapes me made a very good point last week about how selfish it was of LT to even suit up in playoff games when he physically can't go. There are 45 gameday active spots and BB will tell you they are far too valuable to waste on a guy whose ego needs to make a cameo on national TV.

That's why LT is now known as "Lady Tomlinson"

If he didn't suit up at all, people here would be riding him just as hard. Look, I was annoyed by his comments about the Pats as much as anyone, but the guy's one of the best to ever play the game, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he's legitimately hurt - I'm sure he's dying to be out there.

Hey, if Schilling can have his ankle tendons sutured why cant LT have his groin sutured? instead of the bloody sock in cooperstown we'll have a bloody jockstrap in canton haha.

You want to volunteer to be the guinea pig for such a procedure? :D

He has a "detached tendon" in his groin, not a sore bicept, not a broken finger. Do you know what that means to a RB? Of course not. Only a moron would post something like this. And yes, im sure Tuck will be on the field with one leg. Worst thread ever.

How many rushing yards does Justin Tuck have anyway? Pretty impressive attitude and there aren't too many two way players anymore either.

NFL Films, right? They are the best. I kept being afraid they'd show Kapp as a Patriot at the end. What I forgot: Kapp only played four years in the NFL! He played in Canada until he was 29.

To be fair Tuck's body doesn't take nearly the physical toll LT's or any other running back's does...

Not to mention the guy has only started one full year.

Seeing that makes me think that Tim Tebow was born in the wrong decade. It's a shame that a guy with that much game won't be given the opportunity in the NFL.

It's true, he only had like 1 1/2 good years.

But look at those guys play.
