Matt Light fight

Could have been worse, Light could have ran off pretending to find it funny when really he'd just sh!t his pants and was delighted to have escaped a beating.

Not going to hold that against Light, was clearly in the heat of the moment when self control goes out the window for a few seconds.

Yes he was after he was getting beat down. The Dolphins defense was chippy all game long because they could NOT stop the Pats offense. They got their ***es handed to them and couldn't take it. LB's Ayodele, Anderson and Porter all had unsportsmanlike penalties called on them. Let the NFL go to the tape and they'll find that this was a chippy division game between two rivals. No suspensions should be handed out, only fines since both players were ejected that's enough of a punishment.

Porter should have had his piece of sh*t azz thrown out of the game for continuing to jaw at an official ad nauseum........

1. Crowder threw the first punch
2. Light held him by the hair to beat his face in
3. Both should be suspended one game imho - Crowder for initiating, and Light for being enough of an idiot to throw punches.

It looked that way, but the talking heads and idiot fans will be crying about the Big Bad Patriots fighting and running up the score tomorrow.

Yes, damn those idiot fans who will talk about how our idiot LT grabbed a guy by the hair and threw punches into his head. It's all a conspiracy.

I just hope Light isn't suspended for NEXT week. Not having our left tackle against Pittsburgh's blitz schemes would be a major hurdle to overcome.

Isn't it always the retaliator who gets the raw end of the deal? Light was stupid for grabbing the guy by the hair and wailing on him, regardless of whether Crowder had it coming to him.

Yeah but both threw at least a punch. Usually the retaliator point is true when the one who initiates passively takes the retaliation. Crowder tried to fight but Matt got the better of him.

better of him???

thats a pretty big understatement...LOL

Wow, is that what you saw....
Huh..I saw Crowder as Matty's B*tch:kiss2:
All in the angle I guess
Wonder if Crowder would be invited to Matt's Celebrity Shootout next year.....

This is all we Fing need right now. Our offense is the only thing holding this team together. The defense is a sieve. Crap.

The Dolphins' players on defense were chippy because they were getting dominated like they haven't been all season long. Not even their HC could control them: ProFootballTalk.com - TONY SPARANO TRIED, FAILED TO REMOVE JOEY PORTER FROM GAME

I'm fairly certain that BOTH will get at least a one game suspension. I know I'll get attacked for this....but they both DESERVE it. Some guys can appeal and avoid suspensions for off-field issues, but this all unfolded on the field, on TV, for the world to see. Goodell won't let that slide, and to be honest he shouldn't. I understand that sometimes stuff happens in the heat of the moment, but do the crime, do the time. I'm certainly not a Goodell fan, but he'd be doing the league a diservice if he decided to look the other way on this one. For what it's worth, if it were a Steeler player involved, I'd feel the same way. Probably wouldn't make me think any less of the player, but I'd expect serious reprocussions for his actions.

I've been in the situation myself. It sucks, but for whatever reason fighting is a huge no no, instanst suspension. No way he doesn't at least get a game.

"Goodell, he'd be doing the league a disservice"

Sorry had to paraphrase here but just thinking about this sentence makes a lot of sense......

Yup...been there too. I took the heat and paid the price and it did suck, for myself and for my team. But man.....sure did feel good at the moment! :D

But you know what...You probably took the intimidation factor from the other team and that is exactly what Matt did. It's what any of the Pats lineman will do. O and D.
Football is a game of mind and body. Very physical. Competitors will do everything to gain the upper edge, especially intimidate. If you let them intimidate you, then you will most likely lose.
So even though we can say Matt went too far and he was wrong for taking this action, Matt may have done this team an important service.

This may not be very sportsman like, but I was cheering like it was a hockey fight. I don't usually think it's too bright, but Crowder is a grade A prick. He was being a jerk all game and I think he deserved to catch one in the mouth. I hope he doesn't get suspended, and it may prove to be a stupid mistake, but man in the moment I was cheering.

Absolutely. I felt like I was watching a Leaf's game with Domi laying a beating!

What was the big turnaround moment for the Sox in '04, when Varitek punched A-Rod? Something like that?
