League officials celebrated with Jets?

dolt fan complaining about rule changes. classic.

Yet we have our own fans claiming the refs cost us games, injuries caused us to lose games, and that we are the better team ( even after we get beat).

We are what we said we hated 4 years back. A bunch of whiny excuse makers who blame their problems on the refs, talent and shady tactics by the NFL.

OMG...the injuries are causing us LOSES!

Jetlifeless will pump some lyfe back into us...with his tricycle tire pump...

Hey "joker" (oh brother what a name), did you smash your keyboard in a rage last time I got you all upset? Are you making excuses for the team with all the other homers. Did the big bad refs cause us to lose : (

Your missing the key difference between us and the rest of the league. We have earned the right. We are the best team and our 3 titles and 4 appearances say so. So there must be another reason. In other teams cases they haven't won shlt so complaining about everything else when your boys haven't shown they can get it done is stupid. :D:D:D

Note: this was a lame attempt at humor.

That is the way the NFL works. You win you don't want to hear people say anything except you won because you were better. You lose you look for every and any reason that explains why you lost other than the other team was better.

And when you truly admit you lost because the other team was better than you fall into one of two categories you truly are that bad that people stop looking for excuses other than the other team was better or in really rare circumstances like the 16-0 regular season last year where the you may not be that bad but the other team clearly was that good.

Why dont you go cry about the refs, the injuries to the team causing us loses, or how we are the better team (even though we got beat). You people sound like the jets fan, haahahah!

wahhhhh - wahhhhhhh.

Patslifer, the key to even trying to make people think you're not a troll is to maintain your "we, our, us" verbiage when posting. Keeping practicing buddy. Should be able to fool some Detroit fans...

Dude: If a bogus holding call on Vrabel doesn't happen, Jets (your team) get 3 points, Pats get a TD and win. Not guaranteed, but very probable.

Anyway, this thread is about a rumour from outside. Relax the ol' hole a little.

Celebrate gate.....

Don't try to joke with the ahem Patsnolifer.......he missed your point and was detoured by claiming we felt we were robbed vs the Jets, Indy and we think we are a better team than the Jets (we are in spite of the loss, is there anyone that can be serious we are not?) - my point is - all your original post said was that it is odd when League official openly celebrate with opposing teams QB's following a win.

Make me wonder as I have ever since Goodell botched spygate (tell me it would have gone anywhere with Tagliabue or Rozzelle), injected himself into Favre>Jets, and is now turning the NFL into a brand of pansy football.

I served as the head of a group of manufacturers, I had to remain impartial. When one wins a contract over the others - I would last about 30 seconds if I was celebrating with them. I would be brought up on charges of conflict of interest or influence peddling.

Per PFT...........

"it’s highly unusual for league officials to celebrate non-Super Bowl wins with the victorious team. And some league insiders believe that the longer version of the video promptly exited YouTube specifically because of the presence of Anderson and “Auerbach.”

That is a conflict of interest and Goodell SHOULD know that, The fact that he worked for the Jets is bad enough, but that he doesn't give a damn what is really seen means there is more below the surface. I'd love to see someone really investigate the NFL..maybe Congress..although they have way too much else to deal with now. It may be that the NFL is closer to the WWF and THAT would be sad. The scandal in basketball means that even with so called security and everything else THINGS can happen. given the many blown calls weekly in all games, the NFL could have a deeper scandal and things like this ONLY MAKE one think there could be...which is just as bad. Perception is the key and the way officials calls have been make it look even more fishy. But Goodell doesn't care one bit.

Don't forget that the Commish' wife works for FOX news. Anyone here still wondering how they got a copy of the Pats tape last year?

Like the man said "You are NOT paranoid if someone really IS out to get you."

Thing is, it's very hard to fix an NFL game, and very hard to keep it quiet, there being so many folks involved, plus, the players have to play the game and anything can (and sometimes does) happen on any down.

However, it would be easy to nudge a game in a certain direction, thereby increasing the odds of a certain outcome one way or the other. One or two calls, at fortuitous times, and whose to know?

Anyway, about those Giants.. They did, in fact, beat us fair and square and I won't quibble about that. But it takes a rare type of arrogance for a Colts fan to come onto this board and complain about the attitude of Pats fans. That sort of arrogance is genetic, the infestation starting with the GM and working itself down through their especially gullible fan base.

I am convinced that Polian had an opening roof put on his stadium because there was simply no way to keep all of the egos inside without harming the structure.

Respects,

Absolutely, it's the appearance of impropriety. One example ( non-Pats related). I'm watching on of those shows where they have capture the sounds on the field (Inside the NFL?) and before a game referee Gene Steratore walks over to the Vikings Adrian Peterson and tells him. " you're my kid's favorite player. There he is over there in the Adrian Peterson jersey"..... You can say there's nothing inappropriate about that ( and we're all human) but if I'm the opposition and there's even one questionable call, I wonder about it. you can't dare to question it lest you get fined but Goodell needs to get his own house in order.......

Just a few examples of comments that make you wonder:

"That's football," the NFL's Steve Alic, after the Miami Dolphins admitted stealing the Patriots' signals from an unofficial tape.

"The Jets cameraman had permission to film," the NFL's Ray Anderson after it was pointed out that a Jets cameraman had filmed the Patriots sidelines from an unapproved location. The Patriots denied giving him permission. Anderson said the Jets had received it. Apparently, in the NFL, if you receive permission, then it's OK for you to break the rules against filming from outside locations.

Immediately thereafter, of course, the Patriots said, "Hey, we had permission to film too! That guy with the Jets shirt on said we could do it!!!"

But that would never hold up......

Roger "Jets" Goodell would and DID completely ignore it and continued to ruin the NFL as we know it....

Unless it was four year ago, and the call went our way, and the OTHER fans made the same point. Then all us Pats fans would be calling them excuse makers! Give it up. These posters are the SAME people who used to crap all over teams like San D for saying they were the better team after they lost to us, or colts fans for pulling the ref card.

It's sad and typical of patsfan.com. HYPOCRITS. Goodel is in the pocket of the Jets? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Man oh man.

Lots of nudging in the Superbowl Pitts-Seattle ???? A GREAT deal. It only takes a call here or there to nudge a game..BUT even ANY appearance is needed to be taken away...A HOLDING call on Vrabel that was a stretch to a NON CALL on Law that was blatant...What is that if not REALLY poor officiating..and how far can that go to being called nudging...or worse??
Remember the Colts game from last year?? Or many others?? I would say that in MANY close games a call here there that is questionale can nudge a game. And when Pereria and the League is like Sgt Schultz...what does that say?? ALL this just means that MORE of a game should be looked at ONGOING on video as it happens so the game can be BETTER OFFICIATED..I would have many cameras from all angles and make THAT an integral PART of a game. I'd pull back on wanting full time officials IF THAT or something like that was employed ...ALSO, while officials look at all kinds of video now and have for years..there is STILL problems. What does that say?? I would have at least one or two ALL OFFICIALS camp and have them as a group look at video as a group..so they and league officials can look at ALL KINDS of calls good bad and what is Holding and PI and what is not and REALLY come up with standards..standards that are league wide and NOT one officials call or interpretation like it is now. At least the call on Vrabel and non call on Law and MANY OTHER situations like that can be closer defined. It's just the league doesn't want to do ANYTHING..so the appearance is there that something COULD be going on.
There is a LOT happening in football games..and having video looked at from all angles WILL help the officials make teh right calls and maybe BRING SOME BETTER APPEARNCE of getting it correct. (The 06 February PFT article on Officiating is what the league should be looking at.)

No one is asking for the rule to be changed or anything people just don't want refs or league officials routing for the other team after making said bad calls. Well maybe not no one but I am not asking for that.

Now go back to your colts board Archie

This board has been a black hole of excuses over the last few months. You can try and dodge the issue all you want.....word things in a way that makes it seem like you are not an excuse making baby, but I know better.

Again, if this was four years ago, us pats fans would be blasting other teams for this kind of garbage. Goodel is not in the Jets pocket, and all this crying makes us look like the fans we used to hate the most. One brilliant poster said "we were still the better team" (even though we lost to the jets). Is that not word for word what the chargers said in 06?

Cry Jetlifeless...cryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Unfortunately, Goodell has done nothing to show that he is not in the Jets pocket by his actions despite what his apologists say.
