Defense fails again!

I think sometimes you have to credit the other team and the players who execute when big plays are made.

Brett Favre is a hall of fame QB, perhaps one of the best to ever play the game. He played like it in OT.

No shame having him walk his team down the field in OT for the win.

The defenses made multiple stops tonight, and the offense threw them away. Just because it's 3rd and 15 and not 3rd and 10 in OT doesn't mean that the defense is just automatically going to stop them.

Shut the hell up Wildo...the defense sux...every freaking thread you are a panzy to them. Third and freaking 15? Shut your piehole, idiot.

No way, other than 1 play...blame the loss on "winner take all" on the flip of the coin.
Sudden death.....your team has the ball....do the averages.
Regards, BillD

Find another team? Who do some of you people think you are. Stop telling poeple to find another team, or acting like you are some superfan. You are some guy sitting at home, acting like you can tell people who they can root for. FAIL.
Your a troll you go find another team. You never have anything good to say about the pats. Your the resident downer.

Whats the ratio of plays that are completed when it's 3rd and 15? Would you like to bet its under 10%?

Its probably 95% when a man is left wide open the way Keller was on 2 consecutive series. One was Wood's fault. The other was Vrabel's.

So now you use the injury card huh?

so at what point do injuries become a factor? We could have the ******* cheerleaders playing because of injury and you'd call that "playing the injury card." You want to ***** about it, fine, ***** about it. But you make no goddamn sense whatsoever. The defense gave up 24 points tonight without AD, Rodney etc. and you are in here whining. wow.

ONE player screws it up and you blame the entire defense?

It wasn't just that play. They were covering the Jets too loosely the entire possession, like it was OK to give up a field goal. I could not freaking believe it. I saw it coming from a mile away. The bend but don't break defense is absolutely wrong for OT, especially once the offense is past their own 40.

This is the worst loss since the SB.

Why don't you follow your own friggin advice? The defense had 2 rooke ILBs out there and a Nickel Corner who has only been with the team for 2 weeks.

Not to mention a guy starting at OLB for the 1st time in his career.

Mistakes are going to happen. It doesn't change the fact they lost. And itdoesn't change the fact that the refs gave Favre and company 14 points.

I know but it wasn't even a good play it was total non coverage. Keller ran 15 yards untouched and had no-one around him. A good play on offense, I would tip my cap. That play deserves criticism.

and it's not the playcalling at all? common.

Wow 3rd and 15 instead of 3rd and 10, such an enormous difference after they've had to play an entire freaking game. Only the most simple people need to put the blame on the very last play of the game EVERY TIME THEY LOSE. All you see is the very last play and that's "why we lost." You have the brain of a goldfish.

If the Defense played "well above its abilities" tonight then we are in for a loooooong rest of the season.

This defense is totally manic, they had some great series, including stuffing the Jets at the end of the game to allow the offense to make the final drive in regulation... Then they make two good plays to force 3rd and 15 and then one guy screws the play up and keeps them from getting off the field. Then they go back to letting them walk down the field : /

To me its way more disappointing than if they just sucked all the time and gave up 40 points because they show that they can play well, just not consistently enough.

Dude, get a grip. It's just my opinion. The Pats had the Jets right where they wanted them with a 3rd and 15, inside the 15 yard line and the momentum in their favor only to allow a damn TE to streak down the middle of the field giving up the first down. After how hard they fought to get back in the game, how could you not be dissapointed?

The defense really has been pathetic in the clutch spots where we have needed them to come up big and get a stop for years now.

When Brady drives down field to give you the lead in the SB and a chance at a perfect season and just over 90 seconds left, you can't make as many mistakes as they did defensively that drive. Today, when Matt Cassel is tearing up the Jets and tying the game up with a second left...you need to get a stop and get him back on the field and can't allow a freakin' 3rd and 16.

Hmm.. Sorry, but the loss in San Diego was a lot worse than this one. Also, the Corners were playing the WRs very tightly. You must have missed that. The issue was blown coverages by Vrabel and Woods.

But there is a LOT of shame giving up pretty much two identical drives in the end of regulation and overtime. That simply should not happen.

Its amazing how posters are using injuries, calls and excuses to justify a loss. I thought we hated rival fans who did that?
