I heard he was carted off on stretcher.
I Wish him the best!

Didn't see it, I wont watch the Jets play :)

If he was carted off, I wish him well. He will be missed on that team for sure.

Smith will get fined, it was helmet to helmet and he launched, plus Boldin was sandwiched. Not at all a good tackle by Smith.

Still I doubt he meant to injure, Smith was shook up also and it took a couple of minutes for him to get on his feet.

I thought it was dirty. Smith launched himself at Boldin and led with his helmet. It looked very bad.

According to rumor, AZ radio reports Boldin is talking and moving!
:):):):singing:

I just heard he wanted to get up and doctors told him no...but he's OK..NO serious injury...NFLN...as far as the hit went..if he dipped his helmet before..he should be suspended..fined..when one does that..they should be.

It will definitely result in a fine and/or suspension. Considering a player was suspended for a game for a helmet to helmet last week, I think the same thing will happen to Smith. I do think it was a dirty hit because he launched himself.

Hope that Boldin is OK!

Dirty hit? I don't know about dirty. Stupid to launch yourself with 30 seconds left and a 22 point lead. Smith looked liked he was on queer street after the hit, but he was walking.

He will certainly be fined.

Should Goodall take action against the Jest for unsportsmanship conduct? Instead of running out the clock with under 2 mins, they throw for TD and then go for 2. Should cost them a third rounder.

I seem to remember outrage against a certain team last year for running up scores.

I felt that way as well, but it's hard to guess intent.

Hard to guess what a guy's intent was, but it definitely looked dirty.

Just saw the hit on TV I don't think it was dirty I think it was stupid.

Yeah, I bet Smith gets fined. Maybe even suspended.

I agree completely with that statement............

I saw that helmet to helmet hit and my opinion is that it was pure intent to try and hurt Boldin. Just remember which team the commish works for, there will be no fine. Total BS.

Yeah, it looked dirty, IMHO.

Also, I blame Warner, too. He shouldn't have thrown that ball in between three guys. That's a good way to make something like this happen to one of your best WR's. Stupid, stupid throw.

Given Boldin's speed and agility, you would be giving the Jets DBs way too much credit to claim they intended to hit Boldin and injure him on that play. That would mean they actually have the ability to execute the hit as planned. Boldin appeared to be running and jumping, not just jumping.

It was definitely illegal, but I do not think it was dirty. The illegal hit drove Boldin's helmet into the other defender (that is assuming Boldin was not unconscious after the first hit to be driven).

According to the announcers in the game tonight, the Cardinals site is apparently reporting Boldin is good to go. No apparent injury.

I hope so. Enough people have gone down for the year already.

I just saw it on one of the NYC stations. It wasn't dirty, but it was monumentally stupid. Even if it wasn't intentional, if Goodell really wants to send a message, then Mr. Smith does need to be fined and suspended.

IMo it was dirty and the player and coach should be fined and suspended.

I expect there will be a fine.

As for suspension, do you really want Mangini suspended? After all, he likely gets the axe if his team doesn't do something this season. Do you want to give him an excuse as to why losses weren't his fault (ie., I wasn't on the field)?
