I didn't see the injury from the old guy but it kept him out of practice today and questionable for sunday against Arizona

He played something like 256 games in a row for GB and now in his 4th game as a Jet he gets on the injury list already

Does 'The Madden Curse' mean anything? ;)

he has habit of playing up his injury and showing he is a warrior.i have always despised him for his showmanship.
not to mention .mangini is probably playing with the injury report.

He looked gimpy throughout the second half but the mediots ignored it until the game was almost over. I thought maybe it was his arthritis kicking up on a bad night... Brett gave a full medical briefing in his postgame. Rolled it, x-rays negative, likely sore as hell tomorrow (but Im a warrior and if I get toasted again next week you just remember that...).

The prearranged excuse if the Cardinals prevail will be inability to practice set him back further not to mention Mangini is worthless...

I would not doubt BS from any person connected with the Jets organization - We will see if he practices by friday - If not, Clemens is not a horrible backup to carry the Jets for a game or two

Who's the Jets' backup? Favre stunk so bad the other night maybe Mangini's going to try his backup against AZ, hoping for an improvement:singing:

So much for the FAVRE ERA

How about this scenerio?

Clemens is named the starter as Brett's ankle is not healed enough -
Clemens plays against Arizona and lights it up for something like
21-29 for 280 Yds and 3 TDs and 0 Ints - Does it become a little interesting in NY or is Brett guaranteed #1 even if Clemens did shine this week ?

I say Brett will never lose the starting job even of he was out a month and the Jets went 4-1 during that time.

Let's put it this way about Kellen Clemens: I recently read a thread on a Jets bboard where one poster called Clemens a bust. Another poster objected to the bust label...on the grounds that he wasn't picked high enough to qualify as a true bust! :p

(p.s. he was a 2nd rounder in 2006. guess that means chad jackson wasn't a bust either! ;))

This could be fun indeed. Mmm popcorn! Pass the salt:D

Well, the definition of "bust" is always a party-starter for sure! LOL :D

maybe if clemens starts, mangini will intentionally lose so he doesnt have to worry about brett coming back and having a quarterback controversy.
i seriously think their owner screwed this up and mangini was really not in favor of favre coming on to the jets but was forced.

Unless that thing is the size of a basketball, I'd bet Brett will be in there.

If the Jets get pummeled Sunday, the Meadowlands will be like the last day of Pompeii when Vesuvius erupted. Fans will be throwing themselves off the upper deck to escape the stench. Hope it's on TV here in Mass.

He'll be fine. He always is. Not a chance the streak gets broken this week.

He better play well too, I don't feel too confident in our defense shutting down that Arizona D, Not with Kris Jenkins less than 100%. Our offense needs to be in sync this week. The first half of the SD game was painful.
