But let's face facts: when Brady went down, your first thought was probably "there goes the #%@@ing season."
So far, Cassel's led us to two more wins than a lot of people here would have figured. And, last I checked, he didn't blow the whistle on the "in the grasp" call, and he sure as heck didn't let Ronnie Brown score four TDs, or let Pennington get 100+ yards on his first eight pass attempts.
Yeah, sometimes he tries too hard, and sometimes he misses potentially great plays. But he's playing about as well as any of us could expect, if not better, given how he played this preseason.
In other words: he's still our quarterback this season, and I'd still rather have Cassel than anyone else.
Cassell is a BUM. End of story. Sorry to break the news to the rose colored glasses crew, but the guy is taking us NOWHERE. N-O-W-H-E-R-E. He has been awful 4 straight years in preseason and nothing short of mediocre(at best!) in the last 3 games. If he can't get it going against the Chiefs, Jets, and Dolphins defenses, than what's he going to do against Top 10 caliber defenses? Good lord. Let's get real people.
Bob Kraft called, he has an opening for GM he'd like to fill.Let's get real people.
i dont know what word i could use to describe my feelings toward cassel, but proud doesnt come to mind. do any of you feel like he is scared in the pocket, like I feel he is? doesnt david carr come to mind? he drops back, makes 1 read, then curls up. maybe im missing something
