What do you expect when the O-Line hasn't earned its paycheck since pre-Super Bowl 42, the defense is getting older by the second and one of the five best quarterbacks of all-time is out for the year? A 16-0 season? It would be a miracle if this team won 10 games. Just watch the games, don't expect a championship, remember it could worse, it could be the 1990 team, and just shut up and stop overreacting over a loss. It's not like we're winning the Super Bowl anyway, why does it matter?

A little harsh, but I agree in essence.

As soon as Tommy went down, I wrote the season off. The Playoffs would be an outstanding achievement, especially right now. Expectations have been seriously lowered.

Thank you for the pessimism....

Again people just dont get it. If they lose so be it however dont you think they should try? Yesterday it seemed like they could care less. No passion, no pride just empty and that showed because scrubs were pushing around our DL.

With that said it's a game move on but some of you act like you dont see why people booed, overeacted.

Such a ******ed post. They should give up on the season?I havent been impressed with any of these AFC teams. My concern is Matt Cassel and his inability to put up points for this team. This defense will be fine.We have some old players and some young ones.I hope Mayo keeps getting playing time at LB.

There seem to be a lot of people on the board who watched a different game than I did. If it was a normal loss to a decent team then any negativity would be pure overreaction and I'd agree 100%. The fact is we just got destroyed, embarrased and crushed by a team who won 1 game last year.

After every game last year, when we won EVERY GAME, there was negative threads popping up left, right and center especially when we struggled near the end of the season. Why now would this be any different?

You just inadvertently hit the nail on the head and it went right over yours in the process. LOL

A segment of the fan base here is both spoiled and certifiable.

But it was also a team that was clearly way more motivated and was playing with much less to "lose" in this game with low expectations for them. As a Pats fan, I'm furious at the coaching staff and the team leaders for allowing that to happen.

Your statement also provides the reason why people should not be in such a panic. Since this was not a normal loss, we should not expect to suddenly see this happening every week. The Patriots, with Brady, have had real bad games before. This was a bad day for them and since it's still the NFL and there are talented athletes on all the other teams, it showed.

Last week everyone was praising the Pats for beating the Jets, now all of a sudden they suck??

This is a really good post. The only thing I can really say is that people are worried because the fact is we don't know what normal IS yet for this year. We're three games into a season that everyone knows will be very different than what we're used to.

If anybody is saying the Pats "suck" after Sunday, they're simply wrong. If anybody says the Pats' performance on Sunday didn't suck, they're simply wrong.

Hey, all they want is for the Pats to win every game by dominating starting with the opeining kickoff. At no time should the game be in doubt. It upsets their tummies.

If an opposing WR catches a pass, it is proof positive that our CBs suck and BB can't coach. If every offensive play does not get at least a first down, then our OLine, QB, RB, and/or OC sucks. Probably all of them.

All draft picks should start their first year or they are busts. If a FA is signed and later cut, it is proof that BB/SP have lost the magic.

And, if we lose a game, it is time to totally retool, and cut the entire coaching staff and all players who allowed the opposing offense to make plays or were stopped by the opposing defenses.

What don't you understand about that?

Oh, and since they have been complaining since the Pats proved their suckiness by losing the superbowl, any time our teams sucks they have the right, no, the obligation, to fleefully point out that they iknew all along how sucky we were.

It is mandatory that thread after thead be started about the Pats suckiness. No football thread should ever appear on page one.

I can't believe you have a problem with that!

haha brainless exaggeration is an awesome way to make a point given that nobody has said anything remotely like any of the stuff you're saying

As for "thread after thread", there are more threads up right now by guys like you condemning "bandwagon fans" than anything.

I seem to remember the pats getting shut out by the Fools and their QB throwing 4 picks. wasn't that long ago either. Anybody remember who that guy was...

You've apparently never read a game thread, and you clearly weren't here after the Super Bowl, if you can honestly make this claim.

And they are deserved. This fanbase has become infested by a bunch of clowns who know almost nothing about football, hopped on the bandwagon, and think that they are entitled to watch perfection every single game.

I think a little anger is understandable after a tough loss but I what I don't get is all of the people who are giving up on them like a bad habit. Like you for instance. Have you not watched or read many of the stories throughout football where back ups come in to have success and lead their team to wins Playoff and superbowls.

Kurt Warner, Hostetler, Morrell, sheesh even Zo won some games. It is not over.

Well, he's referring to people who are saying things now. What people say during a game thread shouldn't matter since those are 100% emotion and passion and after the Super Bowl was last season.

Since this Sunday I haven't seen anyone say anything like "change the entire coaching staff" or "BB can't coach". If I'm wrong then I apologize.

Yeah and he sucked and deserved to be bench. We should have signed Trent Dilfer that year. :D
