Mangina has a long flight home to work on that resume.

stupid chargers again give long kickoff ....i hope the jets lose..its always fun to hear joe beningo's rant on the WFAN when they lose...

The bottom line is i much rather have Garcia going into the chargers game then Matty Cassel,U need to put up over 20 plus points to beat them.

Nah, you just need a killah ground game. Watching Favre is building a case for NOT grabbing a vet with no system experience, imo.

Manjokus will be toast-just a matter of time:singing:

Great point by Terrico and JAWS about what the critics will come up with as an excuse this time since they are now seeing what happens when Mangini turns the great Favre loose...in an offense he doesn't know nor do they know him. LOL Now the great hue and cry will be why did you give up Noodle...and stick us with an old gunslinger who will retire before he learns a new system.

OMG what a stat - Favre has never brought a team back from 14+... maybe there is HOF hope yet for Cassel...

Favre crushed. 4th down out of FG range.

This is the happiest I have been this season.

As long as Mangini gets fired and starts coaching DB's at Podunk State, it's a sucessful season.

Give me a break, Favre is a turnover machine. He has a history.Looking at the chargers, we will need to put up points and i dont see it.This looks like a loss with Matty Cassel.

Dont compare Garcia with Favre.Favre is a turnover machine compared to Garcia.

WOOSHHH! as the point sails over your head.

The point is...it takes months for a vet to learn the offense and get in sync with the team. As BB said, he needed a vet in camp in July to learn the Pats O. Stop the Garcia lusting, people.

Re: Jets @ Chargers game discussion (Monday Night Football)

I've got 250 riding on the Jets. Lets go Favre.

Please call me. I have some great wagers for you, mangenius.

I always like the time excuse.Matt Cassel has been under this system for awhile and he still looks nervous out there.:rolleyes:Its not a lusting, its a chance to score more then 20 points which this team has failed to do.

Ahahaha.

The look on Mangini's face was hilarious. If someone could get a picture, that would be sweet.

my theory about the jets and favre -
they worked all training camp with pennington on their offensive system.
their owner wanted favre to sell tickets and they got him
they changed their entire offense for favre - even bb said this on his radio show that they were a no huddle team in the past few yrs and changed it quite a bit for favre.
now they are stuck with a QB learning the offense and the entire offense trying to rework whatever they did in the training camp. i doubt mangini wanted favre. he was shoved to him by the owner i think

Gosh I hope they score 50 on the rats, that would be perfect. Rivers is playing awesome. SD is playing like they did in 06.

This game is really no surprise. The Jets threw everything they had at the Patriots and the Chargers are both pissed off about that lousy call and desperate to stay in the playoff hunt. I predicted that the Chargers would kill the Jets, and it had nothing to do with Favre throwing picks or any of that.

No it's refusal to listen to common sense. The one thing Cassel has not looked is nervous. Some of you have to be watching alternate feeds. He's maintained his poise yesterday under constant pressure while getting little support from his teamates on either side of the ball. He's made a few mistakes, but given what he's facing first round draft picks and grizzled veterans have been known to fold like a cheap suit. He's a tough kid and there is no quit in him. His teamates laid an egg yesterday but say to a man there is no quit in them either. Garcia is 39 years old and has no experience in this system and no success in any system beyond the WCO in the NFC.

Oh, this should be fun - Mangini is backing the aging vet and throwing his WR's under the bus, didn't learn that from Bill...

seems like favre is calling his own plays now...
