Matt Cassel sucks...

sorry..i know some people are blindly loyal to whoever is Qb'ing this team, but he just does...:singing:

Prove me wrong.

He can't pass accurately unless there is NO pressure on him.
He has no vision in the pocket...
When he does see the rush, he seems to run right back into trouble
Other than the one INT, there should have been at least 2 more today
How can he not find open receivers against that defense ????

Everybody knows we are just going to be throwing screens and short routes..how many long passes have we thrown?

Somethings not working...

Okay so prove me wrong, this is overly pessimistic i know - more to spark a good convo but damn, we looked awful today

OF COURSE HE SUCKS!!!
He is not a starter! There are starters in this league who suck! My hope lies on the fact that I believe he will get better as the season progresses.

same was true when brady replaced bledsoe and he looked 1,000x better

you might want to go look at the record books. brady sucked terribly in his second game.

I like a guy who makes bold statements. I won't take you to task for your statement. As one reader noted, he's still a young, inexperienced qb. I don't see the guy being a Patriot next year. We'll have Brady back and I think BB will have learned his lesson about retaining a veteran backup qb.

Anyway, back to Cassel. He may very well suck, but I assert that Maroney and Watson suck more.

What makes you think this can happen. Matty Deer in the Headlights has gotten progressively worse each year he has put on this uniform.

How quickly you forgot about the Jason Taylor Pick 6 last season and how quickly you forgot about this miserable preseason he put up.

What in the world would make you think he'll improve?

Oh, and, BTW, Phil Simms has said that the Patriots made no attempt whatsoever to game plan during the preseason. I don't know what they were trying to do, but winning the games was NOT their first priority.

I think we'll really see just what kind of coach we have with Josh McDaniels. He really has his work cut out this year, no longer does he have the luxury of a HOF QB. He definitely has to improve the unbelievably pathetic 3.5 yards per passing play average he's getting out of that position.

I just don't have confidence in Cassel. He cannot lead the offense....they are lifeless with him. Sorry...that is how I feel. And I don't think his teammates have confidence in him either.
