Up until last year, the usual horrible game came against an AFC East opponent. This year it came against the Dolphins in Week 3. I am glad it is done wth. Now they have two weeks to get angry about it and come back to beat the 49ers.

You are very correct and I also hop this is our stinker game of the year. My bad mood right after the game is lifting a little and I realize there are still many games to play and we know BB can and will make adjustments to the defense. The offense I am not so worried about, I don't expect them to light it up in general. Cassel wasn't the only one who had a tough game on the O

Unless the D imporves, we are in for more games like this yr.. No excuse for this kind of performence

Home game against a team that was 1-15 last yr, was blown out by the Cardnials.. No excuse.. Were in for a long season, Brady makes this team better sorry..

You are missing the point. Remember the season opener against Buffalo in 2003? 31-0. Brady puts up less points than Cassell and the Defense gives up huge plays. The Patriots win the SB that year. Bad game. Good team. Learn and move on.

Yeah great point, I now see this team steamrolling Denver, the Dolts, the Bolts, the Steelers, the Bills twice......................yeah, sure I do.

NO COMPARiSON NONE ZIPPO... That team lost a player in the middle of the week only to see him sign with a division oppenent.. Cassel again is what he is , a back up qb, the defense is the big question mark right now.. THERE WAS NO HEART OUT THERE, THEY GOT KICKED IN THE MOUTH ..

Now im watching Assante Samual make another great play in the secondary for the Eagles.. God could this day get any better.

Keep adjusting those glasses to see ONLY what you want to see. Knee-jerk reactions are just ugly, so stop.

Maybe you shouldn't put too much stock in one game. Spend some time looking at what has happened before.

This really is the ultimate "Humble Pie". BB doesn't need to make up problems with this team this year. He's got film room ammo for the rest of the year.

Indeed. I think this game will sink in and be remembered for quite a while.

Roll your eyes if you want, but this team has played a horrible game a few times before and come back to win a Super Bowl. Maybe you should root for another team that wins all the time. Oh...I forgot...that team doesn't exist.

Yea you should stop overreacting to ONE game. I don't care who the hell the opponent was or their record last year. This is the friggin NFL, and **** happens. The Pats got beat during the week by the Dolphins great gameplan (as if it were their superbowl, even dumping gatorade on the coach after the game). They came out flat, they got beat in all aspects of the game by another NFL team. Yes, "any given Sunday" actually has some validity.

Take some time to go through multiple NFL seasons for multiple teams and get some perspective on this ONE game. It is ONE game, just like the KC and NYJ games were ONE game. Just like the bills game in 03 was ONE game.

Randy Cross put it best when he was commentating during the Colts-Jags game that's going on right now. Cross said last year doesn't matter and right now there are no playoff teams. It's a new season. Miami has better coaches this season, a better QB, and a healthy RB that is one of the best in the league, plus they almost always give us fits. They should've beat the Jets and the Cardinals are pretty tough at their place. Not trying to make excuses, because BB and co. should've had a better game plan, and the players should've known that the Dolphins weren't going to role over. Pennington and the Jets tried that same crap last year at Gillete that the Dolphins did in the redzone today where the QB lines up as a WR, and that Jets game last year was closer than expected.

The performance today was embarrassing, but it's only Week 3.

Your right it has before, but 2 things are against this team..

1 No Tom Brady

2 And the defense is slower than it has been in the past..

Its going to be a tough year, but I thought at least , the very least we would beat a Miami team that looked inept against AZ last week..

I have to agree with some of the negative comments here. This just isn't a top tier team. Sub-par QB, a defense that is older and playing with no passion, and an offensive line that can't run block, or seem to give our QB's time on passing plays. I love the Patriots, and will continue to root heavily for them with all my being, but I can foresee a very long season. I'd be shocked if we make the playoffs, happily shocked, but shocked nonetheless.

Guess what? The 49ers game will not be easy.

Definitely true, though it's still hard to see any real positives to bring out of this game...hopefully the film study will reveal a couple significant things the dolphins were able to capitalize on that we can shore up before other teams are able to capitalize on it. I have to say I was most disappointed with the lack of adjustment on both sides of the ball, a flat 2nd half gameplan against a better gameplan is pretty darn sad.

Never said it would be easy. Just said that they now have two weeks to fix things and prepare to play well next time out. What are you thinking?

That's enough 'Humble Pie' thanks...
