Ty Law? Depends...

His 10 pick Pro-bowl season was something of an illusion. How much does he have left? Is he *that* much better than Samuel and Hobbs? I think for a year or two he is just that. If we can get him for a "reasonable" contract (with lots of performance and "my cousin left the drugs in my bag" out clauses, I say go for it. He is neither a greedy bum nor a bad teammate. This is revisionist history.

Interesting though how all negotiations are between Ty and Beli bypassing the Postons. Wonder what that means?

I am not a fan of Ty Law, and I don't wan't to see him back in a Patriots uniform. Could he help the team? Yes, but I don't like to root for A-holes.

Try putting yourselves in Ty Law's position for a moment. He's 32--he has a year or two, maybe three to finish building a nest egg for himself and his family. His profession is playing football. He may like the game as well--I trust he does. He may like the idea of being a Patriot. I hope he does.

Calling him a whore is ridiculous. By that measure, we're all whores. We play for pay. Playing professional football is not an act of generosity, nor is it based on the irresistible urge to be out on the field, playing games and risking your body in the process.

I'm calling him a whore, because when you conduct a contract negotiation and turn down a fair market value offer that guarantees you millions of dollars, say things like "we all gotta eat", call your coach a liar to the media and state you never want to play for that certain organization ever again, then come back to that same team 1 year later, to me that makes you a whore.

When you say something, mean it! I don't have a problem with Law turning down the Patriots offer two years ago if he thought he could get more money elsewhere, but ************, have a little class in how you negotiate in the public eye. The NFL is a business. Say thanks to the fans and the organization for the time you had, say that you think you are worth more than the contract you are being offered and move on. Don't friggin blast your coach and the entire organization to the media then come crawling back a year later.

Shame on BB for wanting to taking this classes A-hole back.
