We all know that in past seasons, he was a very hard worker in the weight rooms and such

And we also know that this past season, he missed extensive time during the offseason program to visit his child in California, and to take frequent vacations with his girlfriend Gisele

Was he in proper shape? Was he mentally prepared for the season?

He took one hit and went down for the year

Same stupid crap as yesterday. Right, one hit - one hit right into the knee. It has nothing to do with football shape.

Good grief. No amount of working out or mental preperation is going to prevent a person's knee from being damaged by a 200 lbs. man falling into it. Think before you post please.

From everything that has been reported, conditioning has absolutely no impact on the injury that Brady suffered. It would not have mattered if Brady was the best conditioned individual in the world, or merely in the top 1% (as are most NFL players); given the angle and given the nature of the legal hit, he was screwed.

What a waste of a thread. You could have won an iron man and still have your ligaments broken from a hit like he took. Seriously, enough with this ridiculous line of thinking. I'd say more, but it would be bordering on an ad hominem.

Of course. He's a professional. I don't think there's any question about whether or not he prepared for the season. If he hadn't, Belicheck would not have started him yesterday.

It's not like you can work out or strengthen your ACL. It just happens.

He never missed a game in 7 seasons

He takes all offseason off, and suddenly he's done 7 minutes into the season

I think the Brady of a couple years ago, who had the spidey sense and the desire to play, would have stepped around Pollard

Do not feed the trolls people. This guys is just so weak.

Were you mentally prepared when writing this post?

I normally dont like to flame posters but I hate this idiotic crap. we had another guy suggest yesterday that he didnt do off season workouts so this could be it. Next time you trip and fall or clip a toenail, convince yourself that you are out of shape
sh*t happens. he is human . not a robot who is here to satisfy our QB needs just because we are in denial. I cant believe someone even thinks this of a guy who has delivered so much to a franchise which was nowhere in the last 8 yrs.. just mad

Honestly it didnt look like that bad of a hit to me

I think I could take it no problem

I think, psychologically, Tom was done with football, and so, on some subconscious level, he sought out this injury

Please go root for another team.

You are a worthless troll. You do not deserve to be a member of this board. I sincerely hope you lose the job at whatever fast food restaurant you mop up at so you can no longer get on the internet.

well you guys also said I was crazy when I suggested thinking about Brady's replacement a few months ago

apparently I'm the only smart one here

This board is getting more and more idiotic by the minute.. guys like this should be banned based on flat out stupidity.. lets start a few more threads:

The training staff is to blame for Brady's Injury..
Josh McDaniels should have called a running play...
Brady is a wimp and can play through the pain..
Favre is the best of all time, and he could play through this...

Madden will prepare you for the NFL..

Dude, don't push it -- your original post was DOA. No amount of training would have protected Brady from that injury. And no, he was in throwing motion and could not have stepped around Pollard at that moment.

This was coincidental, not causal. Go away. Please.

Obviously you're smarter than the person who let you through the door in the first place, I'll give you that. Going forward, hopefully someone's smart enough to ban your *
