Sorry, but I don't need to understand better. Regarding your post, it has nothing to do with the rule as it is written. Regardless of what contact his helmet made, the actions he took that resulted in the helmet hit are what make it legal and clean (this is a physical, violent game; helmet contact happens all the time and nearly on every play. Helmet hits are not illegal.)
You're arguing stuff that doesn't matter.
so where's the talk of fine and suspension?

This is not a dirty play. Period. Morris was actually holding him and should have been called for it. Pollard was trying with every ounce of energy to get to Brady. Morris pushed Pollard to the ground (again) as Brady was stepping into his throw. This is when the contact was made. Again, NOT DIRTY.
I have been a Pats fan for 30 years, but I try to maintain some objectivity. Wilfork's hit was definitely a lot more "dirty" than Pollard's. Sorry, but sometimes the truth stings. We will all get over it - we have to. Now, let's just use all our energy to cheer for Cassell and Co.
He was inadvertently blocked into him. It wasn't dirty. Morris was literally falling on top of him as he went for Brady. No one is to blame.

That is NOT the point of contact! He is diving at Toms knees and Sammy isn't touching him yet! I posted a pic of a better angle so you will understand better.

Well if you define dirty as against the rules. Then yeah it was dirty.
"No defensive player who has an unrestricted path to the quarterback may hit him flagrantly in the area of the knee(s) or below when approaching in any direction."

I'm starting to wonder if some of you have ever played football before. He should give up because he was knocked to the ground?!? In the real football world, if you get knocked on your arse you continue the play. Even more, you get your butt to the football and make whatever play you can on the ball. It sucks that this happened to one of the best players in the NFL but injuries happen all the time. Let's just hope that next year Brady can come back and entertain us again!
It's easier to argue Wilfork's hit is against the rules (Losman didn't have the ball and Wilfork did, intentionally or otherwise, stick a chicken wing out).
It was definitely questionable. He launched himself helmet first in the direction of Brady's knee. That is fact. Morris wasn't pushing him in that direction in any way. In fact, Morris may have moved him enough to spare Brady a direct impact through his knee. Pollard hit what he was aiming at and he did it with his helmet.
You are actually arguing stuff that doesn't matter. Trying to prove futile points with STILL pictures as if momentum and real-time has nothing to do with anything.
THe fact is he was blocked to the ground, Sammy got off him, he got to all 4's and LUNGED at Brady's legs... He didn't attempt to tackle anywhere, he just LUNGED at the knees. At best you can say is that it was a horrible decision by him without intent to injure. Regardless of intent, he should NOT have lunged at Brady's legs.
