Schefter: Brady already took MRI

says there is a MRI machine in the stadium and he took it and as soon as it was over..all of his family members and friends vacated their boxes. suspect is a torn ACL and a torn MCL.

i wouldnt be surprised about him taking the mri right away...

but exactly what it showed...i doubt we actually know (or any media gurus)

iam also in denial but schefter is pretty good with his breaking news unlike ESPN or the herald.

its a multimillion dollar state of the art complex im sure they have an mri machine. ill be praying its just not torn its not like the dude flew into his knee

I didn't need the results from the MRI. I saw the injury (and replays ad nauseum). It looked very bad from jump and I wasn't expecting good news. Hoping for, but not expecting.

You must have seen different ones than everyone else because the replays I saw showed Brady's leg getting hit below the knee and nothing else.

So, let me get this straight. The team is going to take an MRI tonight and then lie to everyone and their brother and say that nothing has happened and that Brady is scheduled for an MRI tomorrow?

Forgive me but taking an MRI that soon is nearly impossible because of the swelling that occurs around the injury. It would be inconclusive at best.

Sorry, but Schefter isn't some god who is linked into every team. He's been wrong plenty of times. People just forget about them because he gets stuff right occasionally.

Normally, yeah. On the flip side, if they do it fast enough, there may not be much swelling.

Again, I don't think it's conclusive one way or the other.

An mri machine seems like a pretty expensive thing to have in-house.
Is'nt there some sort of medical center as part of patriot place?

LOL, im not very medically oriented...

but i would assume the Pats would do an MRI, no matter how inconclusive it may be, if its Brady...and i would nto blame them at all...

eitehr right away before brusing, or ignore bruising alltogether....or do it 8 hours after the game.....

you can interpret as you want. iam just conveying what i heard. he was pretty definitive in the report in what they had an mri in the stadium and confirmed it wasnt good.Plus the team never said they will do an MRI tommorow morning let everyone know. it was just being floated around as a norm.

I saw a photo of the guy holding Tom's ankle and his helmet smashing into
the outside of his leg. Tom's knee was not directly above where he was hit. It looked bad..

I was sitting with a trainer when this happened. He said
1. holding below the knee helps to relieve the pain in the knee.
2. he watched the trainer on the sideline perform some test they do.
can't remember the name of the test, and from what he saw there was
enough movement to be a serious ACL injury.

They probably had an MRI after the game and Brady will have another one tomorrow. With injuries that involve a lot of swelling, it can be difficult to get a complete and accurate assessment. That's why, with many sports injuries, you hear about MRIs the day after injuries. Brady will ice it all night to reduce the swelling.

In other news, I wasn't going to post this because everyone would call B.S. on me. But, since Schefter reported it, I'll say it. A "source" that was in Brady's luxury box today told me directly that the word that the family received during the game was that Tom had a torn ACL, a torn MCL, and broken bone in the knee. I would have posted this earlier but no one would have believed me. I was told this before the story of the ACL tear broke. Delete the post or whatever. I don't care.
