a little weird......He made NO mention of Brady's injury.....and gave a kind of "Sally Field...."They liked me....they really, really liked me" speech......after the game was over......He said "It was great to finally get this opportunity" and "our offense played well overall today" (not verbatim) but as far as I heard.....NOTHING about Tom.........strange....

That having been said, I thought Cassel did a good overall job this afternoon.....Granted, we were playing the Chiefs, and one of the league's worst Defenses......however, coming in off the bench, he did a decent job....If Brady's injury is serious....look for a vet to come in however.........

Re: I found Cassel's post interview......

i didn't see it, but Matt is in weird position.

i am sure he wants his friend to be well, and wishes no harm to tom. but at the same time, his life goal wasn't to carry carry a clip board on the sideline.

he just got his first win since high school. I would be on cloud 9. he has read the press clipping about how much he sucked. and today when got called on to do that job.... he proved his critics wrong.

he probably has mixed feeling regarding toms recovery too... i am sure he wants his friend to heal...but at the same time I am sure he is looking forward to his first NFL start next week.

I think it was a real good "patriot" press conference in that he didn't really say anything offensive to BB's sensibilities. I'm guessing 1 minute before his press conference, BB said something along the lines of "mention anything about brady's injusry and you're dead". I also didn't get that sense of "NOW they like me" attitude. He stepped up when he had, and won. first time in a loong time for him.
