Jerod Mayo Retiring as a Patriot.

I wish him well. He was a class act and a great leader.

    NFL Offseason Cuts Thread

Martellus is only 28, too. That would be a heck of a signing, imo.

    WR Josh Gordon

Granted, that was petty of the league to suspend him for a glass of champagne. However, now after TWO suspensions, his back's against the wall. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that a third violation could result in a lifetime ban. I wouldn't want to see that happen, especially if he were...

    WR Josh Gordon

I have to say that I'd be reluctant to see the Patriots pursue Josh Gordon. While he's undoubtedly very talented, he seems to be a guy that has a hard time learning from his mistakes. Unless the Pats are able to sign him for minimal money, I think they should pass on Gordon.

Pats Dante Scarnecchia returns as OL Coach

From what I'm reading both sides are "mutually interested" and are talking, but it's not yet official. Hopefully soon....

Pats Dante Scarnecchia returns as OL Coach

This is FANTASTIC news! It may only be for a year or two, but Dante will get the most out of the offensive line.

    Bye Bye Brandon Lafell

I think I read somewhere that Alshon Jeffrey is also a free agent. Regardless, I'd love to see a tall, deep threat free agent brought in.

***Official AFCCG Gameday Thread: Patriots v. Broncos

I totally relate to this post. I didn't sleep well last night; I woke up 3-4 times. I'm a ball of nervous energy. I've watched all the Patriots shows (Tailgate, Quick Slants, etc), read all the articles and blogs. Everything points to a Patriots win. I think about how amped up the players...

Danny Kanell is on the list...hit TB late..take the 15.

Ex-Bronco QB Danny Kanell....., umm, who? I forgot Danny Kanell even existed. Just another irrelevant 'has been' flapping his gums. Nothing to see here. GO PATS!!!!

Who's your x factor for both teams Sunday

For our Patriots: Keshawn Martin For the Broncos: Brandon McManus (because our D will keep holding Denver to FG's...:) )

Predict the Score Contest, AFC Championship NE@DEN

    I'll say Patriots 27 Broncos 17.

OT: Bills hire female special teams coach

Hey, why not? Men have been coaching women's sports (WNBA, college sports, Olympics, etc) for decades now. If she's an experienced and capable coach, her gender should be irrelevant. Good for her!

Mike Vrabel offered 49ers DC job [update: declines offer]

Great news for Mike Vrabel. I've always liked him. I hope he does well.

New England at Denver AFCCG pre game thread.

Agreed. I didn't keep count, but quite a few of Manning's throws were off target. He was fine on the short tosses, but insanely off on the long throws. Plus, Belichick has always put together a solid defensive plan against Peyton. I have faith our Patriots can win this, even in Denver.
