I would love to see Rodney back for one more year

I was wondering if NFL contracts are insured against injury like in MLB? If Brady isn't healthy going into next season could his salary be paid by insurance, giving the Pats room to franchise Cassle for next season?

I'm confused as to why we keep getting burned by this gimmick play. If the qb lines up like that why doesn't someone crush him at the snap??? Make them pay for leaving the qb exposed like that. What am I missing here?
