We see Pats fans everywhere in New England and across the country but how are they compare to other teams in the NFL? The blue collar fans are the loudest and the white collar fans tend to be the more quiet members of the fan base. Latinos and African Americans support the team greatly in this...
WEEI and the Sports Hub just love it's Red Sox. And Boston/New England love them as well. The Pats are 1b when it comes having the praise in the baystate/across New England.
Once you go to High School, the kids start to hate baseball and think it's boring. However, football is king in high school and the younger demographic. Generation gap can happen quick once those kids you see at the Red Sox games grow up.
Actually, this is one of the better post in this thread. I think the generation gap is important if trying to measure on how popular the Pats and Sox are.
The Pats are doing the exact same thing with signing Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth. And what wrong with academia? Are you a uneducated man? It's funny seeing the Pats fans whinning about the Sox buying the World Series, when the Patriots are trying to do the same thing.
Just like the Pats had their time right now. I don't see the Patriots being this big when they start sucking. The Bruins I agree. Though the Red Sox are second in die hard fans out of the 4 Boston teams.
There was a NHL lockout back in 1994-1995 and again in 2004-2005.
The Red Sox have bigger fan base then the Pats across the country. Your right about the NFL being bigger then baseball but not in New England, although it's close.
With two big signings, I would say right now it's 1.Red Sox/1a. Patriots. The Sox have done great this Summer and have more of a buzz compare to last year when they miss the playoffs. The Patriots second most well known player is Chad Ochocinco, given that Chad has tv show on MTV.
