Well, it's the offseason and I'm bored. I figured I would start a thread where we can take extensive looks at the bodies who will be thrown into the hat as competition for the position that's lining up to be the most interesting thing to watch during TC and the preseason: wide receiver. We already know what we're going to get out of Moss, Welker (when healthy), Edelman, Aiken (praying he doesn't see the field as anything more than a WR5 when we go five wide), Holt, and Patten. It's time to take...

Just a word of warning, I'm still fuming about this thing a little bit. This won't be a breakdown so much as it will be an assessment of where things went wrong for us today as well as where they have went wrong for us the entire year. I'll pretty much go about pointing out all that is wrong with this team...
1. Pass rush: I think I'm pretty much stating the obvious when I call out the pass rush for being so awful. Last season, the Pats gave up 27 touchdowns through the air (second...

First, I'd like to apologize to any readers or followers of this blog that I may have for posting this so late. I did not DVR the game and wanted a chance to watch it again before posting to this. Luckily (or unluckily, depending on which way you view it) for us, the game was an instant classic and was aired again on NFL Network last night.
Before we head into this, I want...

Patriots offense vs. Colts defense
1. Tom Brady vs. Colts pass defense: With much talk the last week or so about injuries in the Colts secondary, Pats fans have been feeling pretty confident about Brady’s chances vs. the Colts defense. Not so fast, Pats fans. As we all know, the real line of defense for the Colts against another team’s passing game has always been Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis. Both have been thorns in the collective sides of teams that the Colts have faced...

I'd like to start my first blog on this forum with a thought or two. First of all, I can't believe it took me this long to discover this function! I usually love blogging. Secondly, I would like to express my utter love for the fact that I saw Joey Porter look like he was going to cry just before the game ended (for those who don't know, he didn't record a single tackle in the Dolphins loss). My only regret is that I could not capture that in a screen shot. If anybody did, please do not hesitate...

Brandon Tate - He had some ability but I'm afraid the injuries may slow him down.
Taylor Price - Like what I see from him. I will always compare him to Dez Bryant because the Pats and Cowboys swapped picks and both teams took a WR. We'll see who made the right choice.
Aaron Herandez - He'll lead the Pats TE's in receptions, yards and TD's. He will be what Dallas Clark is to the Colts. Lastly, I won't be shocked if the Pats try to get him involved early in games like the Pats did with Ben Watson in the '04 season opener against the Colts.
