Even if Brady was still here, they wouldn't be great, but they'd be better.
The Patriots failed to address the team's offensive issues. They O-line has shored up well. I'll give them that but receiving was an issue last year, They literally just ignored it.
Newton has been pretty bad but I do like the kid. He seems to be the ultimate team player who has the characteristics of a "Patriot" but its been dreadful to watch this team play. Rebuild time for certain. Sadly enough, I called this when 12 left.

Agreed. Brady kinda set those terms up last negotiation, to not be franchised and he can opt out of the agreement and be a restricted free agent. There's a part of me who still thinks Kraft won't let Brady go. They've always had a great relationship. Bill is the outlier. He's the head coach/GM...
That's the tricky part. If Brady wants them to." break the bank" for him, what weapons could they even bring in around him? They won't be able to. The debate is whether or not Brady would take less, like he's always done.
