Trade back or select Jeremiah Attaochu (DE/OLB)....Attaochu is a better pass rusher than Khalil Mack and is every bit the athlete Mack is. He'll only get better.
I believe Attaochu will be available at #29, but probably not #40.
Kelvin Benjamin, WR, FSU
Calvin Pryor, S, South Carolina
Louis Nix, NT, Notre Dame
These are players I see as legitimate options for us. But I like plenty of players across the board.
But I'd be willing to bet these three players will be long term starters in the NFL.
Great news.
Would really like to see us make a play for Mack (if indeed Wilfork is released), but I'm not sure BB values a center that highly (top three money at position).
It looks like we may go young at WR (mid round pick), and TE (first two rounds), but if they could get value I'd like...
All things being equal in terms of availability and cap usage I'd take Talib.
Byrd is very similiar to McCourty in that they're both former CB's (Byrd at Oregon) and both are better in the deep half and aren't natural, rangy, center-fielders, nor are they strong in the box or overly physical--...
Signing Jackson would be a great move, as it would give us a three-down linebacker who can play man and zone coverage effectively. I could see it being a huge plus in sub packages with him, Collins, and Mayo on the field.
But he'll most definitely have to take less money to play here, and he...
I would like to see the FO take him in the 6th if he's available but probably not before that.
But I feel that the Hernandez wound is so fresh that it probably won't happen...if it was two years from now I could see it.
I would prefer Amaro to fall...really feel he's going to be a difference maker, and it's a coin flip between Fiedorowicz and Seferian-Jenkins for me. What I see in Fiedorowicz is a Heath Miller type that immediately strengthens the run game; a reliable outlet intermediate receiver with sure...
I would be thrilled if we could land Fiedorowicz in the 2nd and Burton in the 6th...thrilled.
Especially if we were able to draft Stepen Tuitt, Rashede Hageman, Zack Martin, Louis Nix, or Calvin Pryor at #29.
There seems to be a lot of negative views of Jace Amaro....I somewhat agree if he's sitting there at #29 and so is Stephen Tuitt, Zach Martin, Rashede Hageman, or Calvin Pryor, all of whom I'd want over Amaro at #29.
But I like him in this offense as an early playmaker as a move end, motion...
McCarron would be a perfect fit for this offense. Alabama runs plenty of multiple groupings, motions, 3, 5, and 7 set patterns-- very pro ready.
And McCarron is very similar to Brady coming out of Michigan in that he isn't a finished product physically, and was asked to win plenty of big...
I believe in Mallett, and I have a feeling BB does too...just a hunch. I would like to see him stay, maybe even a one year extension this off-season, but if we were to move him......
This would be an ideal scenario.
1. Aqib Talib- Can't replace his ability or knowledge of system in FA/draft.
2. Andrew Quarless- "Joker" TE who can line up in-line and split out. Under the radar 'young-veteran' player with good athleticism and experience in a diverse offensive system.
3. Alex Mack- Would be worth the...
