Re: What would BB do?
I don't think the Jets planned past last week when they were pouring the talk on.
Now it's this week and they look scared and pathetic by not saying anything.
The interception last week was a fantastic play. Great burst and timing on his jump. Picks can be divided into ones that deserve to be intercepted and ones that don't, and that was definitely the second. A lot of our guys (Chung, Wilhite, even Bodden) have a lot of the first but not really many...
It looked to me like Brady placed the ball for Tate to cut to the outside lane, where Tate cut inside.
It's seemed like the two of them have been having trouble getting on the same page with deep throws all season.
My point wasn't the speed of everyone reacting to it, my point is if all these guys are having such an easy time finding sources, why did it take so long to get reported in the first place? The consensus has seemed to be that talks have been happening since before yesterday's game.
I don't understand how there wasn't a whisper about this until a couple hours ago and now everyone in the world who gets paid to write about football is confirming it.
I agree that the penalty calls made Butler look much worse than he actually played. He didn't have a great game, but I don't think he deserves all the ire he's getting from fans right now.
He certainly didn't deserve to be blatantly made fun of by Edwards... twice. Thanks for the non-call on...
Re: S.I article on Brady
Interesting that when asked about WR the first thing he mentioned was that he liked Tate a lot.
There are things there we haven't seen.
Re: Torry Holt: " I still have enough game speed to play"
I'm surprised at the amout of negativity surrounding his signing. I have a good feeling about him, I think it could work. He won't be Moss, but we don't need him to be seeing as how already have Moss.
At the very least, it's better...
Re: Bill Simmons article - "What he hears"
I really can't see Belichick "dumping" Moss just like that. It's the media and some folks around here that have been unhappy with him, Belichick has gone out of his way to praise him almost all year.
That's really not that bad, though. We're very good at home and only two notable games on the road? One against Pittsburg? I'll take it.
The fact that we play Indy at home for once makes that schedule good news imo
Re: AD: "They really don't give a damn"
To be fair tanked_as_usual, that comment about the contract being BB's fault really is one of the dumbest things I've ever read here. Pretty weak troll dude.
Heh, let's be fair here: in the best season Brady's ever had he constantly was carelessly throwing ball to Moss when he was blanketed, double covered even. It seems to be a combination of Brady not throwing nearly as nicely as he used to, Moss not making the catches that he used to and them just...
I agree, that play changed the entire tone of the game. The crowd was sitting down and another touchdown would have shut them right up.
Then again our ability to protect leads hasn't exactly been golden. Maybe it was less painful for us this way.
This is a pretty good example of how stats can be misleading if presented without context.
Do you really think there was no difference in the dynamic of our offense between 2005 and 2007? With that passing offense, that made such prolific use of play-action? Maroney had almost as many carries...
