This is purely speculation with nothing to substantiate other than a personal hunch, but I believe he will be back, he is giving the Pats flexibility via the cap by remaining unsigned, and once the Pats have no other urgent pursuits, they will agree to a deal that fits within their available cap...

IMHO, no way do you swap your starting center for anything other than injury at this point in the season. Put Stork wherever, let him and Andrews have a competition in the off season, but for all the rotations the Pats have had upfront, center has been the constant. It needs to stay that way.
