Would be a solid, not spectacular, accquisition and would help out our secondary. I am interested to see if DRC's kidney situation see's him fall come dradt day.
Im visiting friends and family in August from 16th-31st and would like to see a game, even if it is only a pre-season game. Anyone know when these are announced? And anyone be interested in selling their tickets? Thanks
Re: The one player we cant afford to lose
Mike Vrabel!?!?! Seriously??? We could draft an OLB in the first ride and not really be much worse off. However, if Brady retired who would be our starting QB??? Plus, Big Vince would have to be a close second!
I honestly think that we're set at WR now. Donte was good, not great, and Jabar can adequately take his place, with Jackson pushing him hard in training camp. As long as Tom, Randy and Wes stay healthy the offence shouldnt miss a beat.
Theres no way the Pats keep the #7 and draft CB, when there are at least 3 CB's (Talib, McKelvin, DRC) who they could pick from in the mid to late teens to a much smaller contract. If they stay at #7 it is for unique prospect that is only likely to be available there and then.
I very much doubt that if the Jets do draft D-Mac that BB will have sleepless nights over it. Yes, McFadden wil improve the Jets, but we are still a far more talented team. I would even go as far to say as I am glad we have Maroney rather then McFadden.
No way do the Pats try and sign Alexander, nor do they draft McFadden. They already have 1st round money tied up in Maroney, and have other areas which need addressing first anyway.
I think the D has to be the focus this offseason. The O-Line played well all year, bar the Superbowl, but the D should signs of aging and this must be seen as a priority. Getting younger at LB and more height at CB IMO should be the front office's priority.
If we run a similar offence to last season then the #2 WR is the easiest of the three WR postitions to replace IMO. Moss and Welker are simply amazing at what they do, and will enable almost anyone to be relatively productive in the #2 spot. For me, re-signing Moss is essential, and CJ, Jabar or...
I think there is still enough left in the tank for one more year, although probably not as an everydown linebacker. That full length diving breakup in the AFCCG suggests it too!
