I'll be celebrating the only good thing about the team sucking lately, I can turn the TV off after the third pick instead of the 32nd.
If they trade down I'm out, on both the night and on the season.
Last time they did that, it didn't end well for them.
This is da Jete we're talking about...

I don't think you can read it that way.
It doesn't make sense to do the opposite, signal you've made up your mind and won't be trading down, especially since there are two draft spots ahead of you and you can't be sure what will happen till you're on the clock, nor can your potential trade...
Putting a good QB behind a sucky OL is a bad idea.
The point is, you can't do that till you have a good QB, and it's more important to find the good QB than the good LT.
It seems especially important when you feel there are potential franchise-level QBs in this draft but not in the next one...
If they make such an offer, we should then ask why they are willing to give so damn much up.
The answer is obvious, they feel it's worth it.
So, shouldn't we also think it's very very important to use that pick?
I agree, you keep taking shots till you get a keeper.
Having a talented QB on a contract you control for five years or perhaps more via the franchise tag is a huge advantage.
Having a great LT doesn't matter much if the guy behind him is not very good.
Oops, wrong thread, lol!
But personally I wouldn't complain if Ahole went and 'stood up for his rights' in the war zone.
His stay there would be as short as his stay behind the Jete OL and be far worse for his health, IMO.
