So when Johnson came back to get his bags, they were nowhere to be found. Johnson and Millen were stumped.

Enter the eye in the sky.

The team checked the videotapes generated by the team’s in-house surveillance system, and they quickly identified the culprit.

So who might it have been? None other than Tatum Bell, who lost his gig with the Lions after Rudi arrived.

Re: Should we bring in Tatum Bell for a look?

No room on the roster. Unless you want to cut Jordan or Morris (I don't).

Edit---I didn't actually read the PFT blurb before posting and thus didn't realize you were obviously kidding. My mistake.

Too funny! What a clown.

And they made them take Playmakers off ESPN because it wasn't realistic....

The Lions should lose their No.1 draft choice for filming "offensive".....err.....never mind.

Re: Should we bring in Tatum Bell for a look?

The Pats should be like the USC Trojans and bring in a new running back on ever play. They have like 6-8 running backs on the roster. No thanks.

Re: Should we bring in Tatum Bell for a look?

That might be the funniest football story I've heard since Najeh Davenport pooped in the dorm closet. What's Bell thinking?

Let's announce we're bringing him in for a workout and see if the Jets make him an offer.

can anyone say Zeke Mowatt

In zeke case it was a pretty bad thing but it is too funny how skewed reality can get for these athletes. (not that you have to be a spoiled athlete to do stupid jealous things)

Re: Should we bring in Tatum Bell for a look?

Sounds like he still has quick hands and nifty moves.

Re: Should we bring in Tatum Bell for a look?

What is it with RBs? Trailed by WRs in second place, they seem to be the worst thugs among football players.

My working theory is that it's some combo of:

A. Visibility/acclaim
B. Feeling they NEED to be glory hounds to succeed (e.g., to get their number called)
C. Getting hit on the field without many chances to similarly hit back
D. Not being so freakishly big that every authority figure in their life has been preaching self-restraint to them since preschool.

Obviously, there are a whole lot of exceptions to this rule. But when you hear about common-law criminal acts (battery, theft, even murder) by football players, it's commonly by RBs and WRs.

heh heh...of course, for more proof...see Lawrence Philips and Cecil "the Creeper" Collins

Tatum Bell reportedly stole Rudi Johnson's bags

LOL thought this was pretty funny

Profootball.com writes that Tatum Bell reportedly stole Rudi Johnson's bags when the two crossed paths in Detroit Monday.

Rudi apparently left his bags outside Matt Millen's office during a meeting, then they disappeared. Millen checked security tapes and saw usurped running back Bell lift the bags. They tracked Bell down elsewhere, retrieved the bags, and decided not to press charges. Bell is even worse at crime than he is at running.

LOL, he stole the bags of the guy who took his job... Wow.

LOL

Sure, we can bring him in for a look. But if we dont sign him better make sure Lamont Jordan has a kung fu grip on all his valuables.

Re: Should we bring in Tatum Bell for a look?

And if its announced that he's bringing Rudi's dirty laundry with him, I'm sure the Jests will take the bait!

So help me out here, guys...can anybody imagine what Bell could possibly have been thinking? Maybe: "The Lions think they can replace me? I'll show them! They may sign an RB, but he won't have any clean underwear!! BWAH-hah-hah-hah-hah!!!"

(Hey, you know how you can tell this bizarre episode really crossed the line? Not one post saying "Johnson left his valuables out in the hallway where anyone in the whole Lions organization could nab them? Talk about bad judgment. When will these players ever learn??? ;))

Of course they would. Mangini would probably smell/eat the dirty underwear.

It was just a little wiggle that got blown out of proportion
