Wow that is ridiculous

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

If that's true then screw him.

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

Hey Ty and I will be watching the NFL from the same vantage point this year - NFL Sunday Ticket.

he isnt getting the ticket he has more to worry about like how to feed his family without the 5-6 mil he wants

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

Just read on a website blog that Law was noted to say he is expecting somewhere between 5 and 6 million this year for his services and wants to get a contract based on a starters average pay as a premiere CB

Sorry but 5 or 6 million for a CB in his mid 30s is a bit on the ******ed side,Even if it would somewhat help our teams depth at the position

He is doggone crazy and deserves no more than 1.5M like Lynch was offered

Dear Ty Law: - If you are adamant about the money contract you want, then retirement says hello

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

Why wait 'til week two? Pay the man now. Now!

Ty Law, no matter how unrealistic his contract demands, is the answer to this team's secondary concerns, many of which are founded solely on the assumed struggles of one Terrence Wheatley.

But Ty's known struggles are not a problem with the grass-is-always-greener crowd.... even if it comes at a $6 million price tag. :banned:

He's fat and slow.

Was it a direct quote from Ty, or was it just conjecture from the blog. Because I read something very similar to what you've mentioned here, and it was conjecture to the effect of "Law would like be looking for starter money, between 5 & 6 million". I can't remember which blog it was, but I'll look.

If Law is truly looking for that kind of money, he'll be waiting a while.

But for all those that say he's slow and fat, I encourage you to look into Football Outsider's prospectus and note that his numbers fare quite well. He has a good success rate, a lot of pass deflections and is still quite strong in run support. According to the stats at least.

He's fat and slow.

And in dire need of some Cash'ola.....evidently.

How many kids does this guy have? Perhaps we don't know the "rest of the story".

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

Everyone will say pay the man after the first two weeks. These DB's will get their first real test when they play Brett Favre and the Jets.

LOL, i highly doubt that...

Brett favre got owned last time he played us, hell get owned again

I remember 2 blogs about this very amount - 1 I know was just a guess from our very own SMY but the other is the one blog I am trying to locate which says the same type of contract Law is seeking in that price range

I hate when I lose an article,I read this on Sunday and just thought about it since it definately is worth mentioning - Google did not help me locate it

Brett who? Thought he played for the Packers.

Yikes, I've missed a lot!

How was our preseason? Na - forget it, I'll just watch the regular season. ;)

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

I was reading alot of stories relating to the Patriots the past day and it got lost in the shuffle,I will try and get the link for you but believe me,I did not just make this number up for the sake of it - Its apparently what he wants and I remember the source did say Ty's agent is seeking such amount on Ty's behalf.

Is Poston Ty's agent? - That would explain the inflated asking price

Not doubting that you read it, I just think these blogs have a way of getting conjecture mixed up with fact.

At successfully catching passes slinged by Favre? I think Brandon will be the only one who's tested by that task.

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

Hmmm..so many have said that Ty will be here that he wants to play here...BUT as I said..they have done this dance before...and will not happen...THIS to me confirms it...

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

I don't think Law is worth that kind of money.

I do still wish we could sign him for something more reasonable though.

I understand it when no proof is actually shown via link to prove the topic is legit so if some are sceptical about this I respect that,I will still try and locate it where I decided it was interesting enough to generate a laugh from us who know Law is not worth that type of dough.

I wish Ty would have said this on ESPN or something that would make it easier to find than on a blog on the net filled with millions of others.
