Just read on a website blog that Law was noted to say he is expecting somewhere between 5 and 6 million this year for his services and wants to get a contract based on a starters average pay as a premiere CB

Sorry but 5 or 6 million for a CB in his mid 30s is a bit on the ******ed side,Even if it would somewhat help our teams depth at the position

He is doggone crazy and deserves no more than 1.5M like Lynch was offered

Dear Ty Law: - If you are adamant about the money contract you want, then retirement says hello

He must be standing by that too, or else he would have signed with someone already

They are going to be real hungry if he sits out the season waiting for that :D

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

That would explain why nobody has signed him.

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

Thats why Cleveland tried real hard to get him but decided on a younger and talented Daniels a few days ago

Ty Law may be the most arrogant and stubborn NFL player in the league right now,His demands are incredibly unrealistic

About $2M for a 1 year deal is my guess as to what the Browns offered and that would be more than generous for a player that was about average on his last team (K.C.)

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

He'll get nothing and like it.

Hopefully the Pats cast him aside...although BB does have a weak spot for aging, fragile veterans. Duane Starks says hello.

How many times does Casey have to strike out before we say the emperor has no clothes?

Everyone will say pay the man after the first two weeks. These DB's will get their first real test when they play Brett Favre and the Jets.

Wow... I knew he wanted more than the Pats were likely to give him, but I pictured that being in like the $3m range. 5 or 6 is just way too much for him at this stage in his career.

And if they pass?

No, "everyone" will not.

Did this blog contain an actual quote from Ty?

YOU are not everyone.

Re: Ty Law wants starters salary of $5M to $6M

Why wait 'til week two? Pay the man now. Now!

Ty Law, no matter how unrealistic his contract demands, is the answer to this team's secondary concerns, many of which are founded solely on the assumed struggles of one Terrence Wheatley.

But Ty's known struggles are not a problem with the grass-is-always-greener crowd.... even if it comes at a $6 million price tag. :banned:

But why not ask for an outrageous sum. The price is out there and if some deep pockets team loses a starting cb in the first two weeks, they know where he is and what he wants. If this doesn't happen, he can lower his price or he can retire. He must have more money than God anyway.

Wow, that's all that I can say about that.

Why?

Cus they'll be 2 - 0 with two blow away wins?

Or cus they'll be 0-2 with two torched backfields?

I say 2 - 0 but so called Pats fans on this site are "wishing" they go 0 - 2 so they can say - I, Me, We, etc "Told you so"

That sentance right there shows how messed up and skewed your sense of reality is in regards to NFL spending.

You think we have bums on our roster (who actually come at a decent price). I disagree that they are bums but lets just for argument sake say you are right and we have a problem you have a terrible solution there thinking throwing 5-6 mil at Ty will fix the problem. the reality is that would only augment the problem and push the problem further into the future.

I love Ty as much as the next guy but I would say 2.5 would be to much for his services.

all I can say is wow and I imagine you will be on an island with that opinion

I was reading alot of stories relating to the Patriots the past day and it got lost in the shuffle,I will try and get the link for you but believe me,I did not just make this number up for the sake of it - Its apparently what he wants and I remember the source did say Ty's agent is seeking such amount on Ty's behalf.

Is Poston Ty's agent? - That would explain the inflated asking price
