hard to argue considering he played through a seperated shoulder, sports hernia , ankle injuries and none of them were listed are major issues by the pats.

Can't really argue with him.

In any case, he also suggests that there's a significant chance--not definite, mind you--that Ty Law and/or Eugene Wilson return to New England this season. Personally, I'd give 50-50 odds.

Re: Banks:Brady probably playing hurt

A funny little tidbit in that article is the bit about how Takeo Spike's team has never made the playoffs ... how many people were clamouring for him to be signed in the offseason? ;)

Re: Banks:Brady probably playing hurt

Way to go out on a relatively stable limb that can never really be gauged. I'm not sure Bill would have played him healthy at this juncture given the way the OL was performing in TC on the heels of 42, but he certainly did something to that foot. Just not enough to keep him off the field in a meaningful game.

I do think his opinion on Warner being a delusional fraud jerk is spot on...

Re: Banks:Brady probably playing hurt

That's hard to argue with. Taking a long term view, I'd just as soon that they keep TB out until after the bye if it's serious, but just needs time to heal. 10--6 will get us into the Playoffs, but with a healthy Brady. Messing with the long term health of the Franchise Guy to see if we can go 13--3 is too risky when he still has at least three and maybe five or six premium years left. No player on the team has earned the right to wait until the Coaches feel he is ready than the QB who brought three Lombardi's to Foxboro.

Re: Banks:Brady probably playing hurt

imagine if brady had hyped up his injuries like favre and played . instead he plays and after the season we find out he has sports hernia.
(sorry cant pass up taking a shot at **** favre :))

Ok, but he's a football player. That's a calculated risk that started on draft day. Get his arse out there and let him be Tom Brady. He isn't a frikkin' Royal Doulton.

Re: Banks:Brady probably playing hurt

If he can play with a separated/injured right shoulder, I don't have a problem with him going out there on a bone bruise to his foot.

Re: Banks:Brady probably playing hurt

I hate this kind of rumor reporting. He has ZERO FACTS to base his assumption on .It's only a story if it's true.We can't prove it by Him ,so this is nonsense.

I'd like to write an article that's based entirely on no truths or facts, my title would be,

"Brady's not hurt, Belichick is trying to save his arm solely for the Regular and Post season, and tag on the fact that he the reining MVP and all around iron man bad ass that plays thru most anything and can throw it 70 yards if he wanted to and has the entire system memorized.. because basically he and Belichick developed the system and that he's throwing to Randy Moss, Wes Welker and Jabar G. all of whom he now has at least ONE year of playing time with and given the fact that when Tom's at the Helm the team's record is 127-{some little no.} and given that he's probably heading to the HOF on the first ballot and the fact that he sleeps next to Giselle B., it is this writers opinion that he and Belichick did IN FACT conspire to hold out his playing the entire preseason because he's Tom Freakin Brady and he does not need to be exposed to possible injuries in stupid ridiculous games that don't count and only (In Bill's opinion) are useful for measuring the ability and effectiveness of Rookies and Free Agent acquisitions."

I'm ScottieC and I endorse that message!

He'll be there Sunday and he won't disappoint you.

Yep. Can't wait.

BTW, I wasn't insinuating he shoulda played in the pre-season. But enough of telemarketers in Pat's uniforms. The party starts Sunday.

Am I really this stoked? Hm. I guess I am.

Re: Banks:Brady probably playing hurt

my 31-0 prediction for the pats would be ruined if he didn't play lol, he's def going to play

Ya know, I just really don't care if he played in the preseason and to that end, I think that if we get a big lead he should COME OUT OF THE GAME! BILL, DO YOU HEAR ME!!!!!????

Give O'connel and Cassell the reps it will take to become a quality back-up.

I don't care if Tommy plays a half, splits the wigs of the other team and heads to the bench.

Don't talk to me about records or any of that crap, we own them all and now we need to be deadset on winning more Lombardi's.

I'm a little fired up too. :)

31-0 is a good bet if Brady plays 2 to 3 Qtr's - If he plays the whole game you could be looking and single game records. I've been looking at KC and they are horrible and I mean real real bad.

Yeah, Barry Sanders was a real loser too, what with success in the NFL being an individual effort not a team thing and all.

You can ad Seau and Marino to that arguement......that's leaking like the Titanic.

Re: Banks:Brady probably playing hurt

If he was really hurt, I doubt he would be at practice that much and he's been at a decent amount of practices so far.

I can't wait for sunday to get here. I'll feel like a kid waking up on christmas morning! :D

dude your premise is a little off as Barry's running literally carried (pun intended) them into many playoff games the rest of the crapy team in turn left him with like a 1 and 7 playoff record. One man as good as barry can carry a team to the playoffs but not thru it (maybe a QB can).

I've seen him on TV recently (yesterday) running with apparent agility, running sprints (admittedly he's not too fast), etc. I like Banks, generally, but does he have evidence to back this up or is he just pulling a Felger (God, I hate even typing that name), namely throwing some stuff up against the wall hoping some will stick?
